the NEED for Acceptance Will Make You INVISIBLE - Jim Carrey

Life does NOT happen to you, it happens FOR you. Many things in life are outside of our control, but the way we respond to events can shape our reality. Viewing challenges as opportunities, not misfortunes, will help you lead a productive, successful life.
We all know Jim Carrey for his comedy, but he is now spreading joy through his inspiring words. This voiceover was taken from Jim's speech at MUM Graduation in 2014. Full talk can be seen here • Jim Carrey at MIU: Com...

    What's wrong with memes, care to explain?

  • @tristanmoller9498

    @tristanmoller9498

    4 жыл бұрын

    Sometimes memes hate on certain things. Like dudes always wearing khaki pants for example. Some time ago I used to wonder what the criteria were to judge khakis as outworn. Turns out there never were any criteria, it just was this one’s person opinion who didn’t like khakis. It is also true that there is absolutely no problem with wearing khakis. I realized many memes hated on things I saw no need to hate on... things were disliked for no apparent reason. The judgement of the meme was never questioned. As soon as I questioned it (Do I actually agree with the idea suggested in the meme?), I realized I didn’t want to be a hater... thus, I got rid of memes. Of course some memes are purely funny. You just never know what you’re going to get. Other than that it is also true that hating makes you more insecure, much more than the other way around. Imagine hating on someone because they have pimples. Then imagine yourself getting pimples. You’d feel the embarrassment of every insulting comment you made or thought about the other person’s face. Whereas, if you don’t hate on pimples because you have absolutely no problem with them and don’t judge people based on that ( Honestly, who doesn’t have pimples? Everyone has them at some point during their life time... hating on them makes absolutely no sense, you’re effectively hating on everyone ) then you’ll have much less of a problem with pimples yourself. Got rid of memes. Got rid of the idea that if someone says something negative in an annoyed tone, that it’s always true. And I feel more confident than ever before.

We project our soul's will and our thoughts, whether they're positive or negative, out into the world. The world is the way it is because of our collective thoughts about it.

However, the more I learn about this man and his humble roots the more I respect him. I think he's still struggling to find peace, but he's chosen to share what he thinks will help. Thank you Mr. Carey, you've chosen to share your struggles to help others rather than spend your vast wealth on frivolities. Jim C still craves attention though, but let him be, his motives are good and none of us are perfect.

Happiness comes from within no possession or person can make you happy they might amuse you in the interim but the feelings are fleeting. Hes right about the egoits bs made up in your own head it tells you be a better person and beats you up inside when you fail. Amazing talk and great drawings, man! Really great! Fear is such a hard thing to shake off, we are raised to be aware of what other people think of us, how failure is not an option, how we should be perfect or we suck. And we build our whole personality around the expectations of other people, so much that if we could have anything right here and now, we would have no idea what to wish for. We don't really know who we are and what WE want for us and not to please others that it is killing us slowly, but surely! Love Jim Carrey, but after this video I love him even more :)))

    Quick Fix, Fears,,,the 4 major fears are, Fear of rejection Fear of failure Fear of the unknown, and Fear of change. These fears manifest in human nature although; we do not have to allow them to control. We recognize them by self awareness, analyzing self, admitting, and accepting. Having more faith than fear. Peace.

    Mark, Booth. Fear of rejection and failure is often rooted in fear of shame. It's really how rejection and failure makes us feel that we fear. I don't think anyone fears change.. They fear the discomfort change can bring.. It all comes down to our feelings. We ultimately fear unhappiness or dissatisfaction.

    As I get older and gain more life experience, the more I better come to understand this concept of letting go. It is the opposite of a vicious cycle. The more you let go, the more you get it back. It's only by relinquishing ourselves and our egos to the universe from whence we came that were are able to truly experience it for what it really is. Thank you for making this.
