The National - Full performance (Live at Rock the Garden 2019)

#TheNational painted the summer sky with #live versions of songs from their latest album, I Am Easy To Find. Their instruments sprawled across the stage and blue-and-white tapestries fluttered among horn players, drums, and an upright piano. Matt Berninger was joined onstage by two singers who filled in for the many guest vocals on I Am Easy To Find: Zoe Randell (of the Australian band Luluc) and Mina Tindel (who appears on the album's track "Oblivions").
"You guys have one of the best radio stations anywhere," Berninger told the audience. The crowd sang along to favorites like "Bloodbuzz Ohio" and "Fake Empire" as Aaron and Bryce Dessner delivered delivering wailing guitar solos and softly plunked piano parts.
Berninger hopped off the stage at multiple points in the night to wade through the crowd. With just minutes left in the #concert, the National launched from "Mr. November" into "Terrible Love" while Berninger snaked through the audience, hair ruffled and forehead-to-forehead with fans.

The backup singers make this performance MAGIC!
this band makes me feel alive. i appreciate them immensely.
I love the fact that they actually wanted the footage to be black and white as their short movie

I think for professionalism there’s a lot to be desired with Matt. I’m a huge National fan and I’ve seen them a few times and I can honestly say Matt has always seemed a bit too half cut every time. I’m completely on board with having a good time but you need to show some respect to the people who’ve paid admission. Get fucked up after the show, don’t compromise the set through lack of self control.

I Am Easy to Find is a flawless song.
I was at the railing for this, and it changed my life. Perhaps my favorite band of all time and they blew the place up! Thank you for bringing these boys back to the Twin Cities 89.3!

Not a criticism but this singer has a William Shatner like quality to his vocals. It's almost like a spoken word thing.
Think you left out "Light Years" after "Rylan" on the setlist. Great concert!
