I believe it was Howie Long who told this story, and I can't remember all the details or find any articles about it, but it goes that shortly after Bo arrived in LA, he was one of a handful of players who decided to have a skills competition. He beat the Raiders' QB's in the long throw, then punted it farther than the team punter to win that skill. I can't remember what it was but there was one more, it might have been longest FG, and he won that too. It may have been a foot race, I can't remember, but the point is that he won every category, beating all the starting players at their respective positions. The story might be just a myth and I may have gotten several things wrong due to lack of memory. But if it happens to be true, that's pretty amazing!

It was the night Corey Dillon ran for the most yards in NFL history (296). Many of the players were justifiably frustrated and down after a loss. Eddie could not have been kinder to my friend and I when we walked up to the team walking through the airport. 100% a class act. @@jtremaine23 that is the biggest what if. I won't deny that but it was possible. Baseball is crazy and he could have ended up on the Yankees because money talks. Football it would have been tough to move him and running backs have short careers. Dion was too cocky and that wasn't necessarily a cross over attribute. He played on historic teams tho in both sports. If Bo was in Dion's situation with no injuries he would have been just as big as MJ. MJ got kind of lucky timing wise because the NBA was needing a star and Nike had the international appeal and marketing on lock. Baseball was still the biggest sport with football. MJ even played baseball simply for the visibility. Nowhere in history will a guy quit one sport and be able to be placed in another that quick. You have to be a moron to not see the sick athleticism on display when Bo outran them including Boz and Kenny Easley on the way to that amazing touchdown run but I always am curious about the alleged “decleating” of Boz in the other touchdown. Bo jukes to Boz right, and Boz wraps him up and Tackles him. They Both go to the ground in the end zone. If Boz makes same tackle at the 50, they are saying how great it would have been. Truth is, everyone hated the Boz and they saw what they wanted to see. Boz was his own worst enemy

Darrel Green, 6 times fastest man in the NFL, Retired from cornerback with the Redskins at 43,,,was still the fastest man on the team. At the age of 50, on his birthday, he ran a 4.3 40 yd dash. And fastest ever, unofficial recorded 40 in training camp of sub 4.1

Green won the competition 4 times not 6, and the 4.09 is a complete myth.

No disrespect to Darrel Green, but he didn't run over anybody, playing DB. Anybody who has ever played football understands how beat up you get playing RB. Way more physical than playing DB, thus why RB's careers are shorter. Bo Jackson:Greatest Athlete in my lifetime!
