I actually enjoyed some of the emptiness of BOTW's map. It made it feel more realistic and immersive, as it was much more believable that not every nook and cranny had something important in it. The traverse through the open fields and tundra, occasionally interrupted by a lynel or guardian, made my first playthrough super enjoyable.

Came here for the dog pet, was not disappointed Butter dog

I think more cave shrines would be great, because those to me feel like the most immersive experience. Even if it's just a major test of strength, the exploration it took to get there is worth it.

They should’ve let you register the Lord of the Mountain into a stable

Idk, on one hand, you need to wait for him, then sneak up and capture Satori, which needs skill, patience, and a lot of stamina food, and the reward is the fastest steed in the game that rivals a fucking motorcycle made out of Shiekan tech, which would kinda kill the whole purpose of using the motorcycle and any other horse as the first one needs fuel and the second is just regular horses, and you since you got a spirit that does not need to eat, sleep or rest, why use the others? On the other, some players would love the motorcycle more, because it's a motorcycle that can jump, do donuts ans make cool vroom vroom sounds.

@@Alex_Fishman Also, the motorcycle is only as good as a speed 3 or 4 horse, 5 horse is faster. I still use the motorcycle all the time, though.

I think a good idea for the difficulty would be to unlock a hero mode when you complete a playthrough (kind of like Skyward Sword). I feel like it would greatly increase the fun you get out of replaying ToTK.

One of the more exciting features of previous Zelda games was the aspect of unique item discovery, where certain areas of the map were locked off until you obtained a certain item. This is something they took away in BotW in order to give the player more freedom, but it took away a sense of mystery and accomplishment instead. It also made opening chests far more exciting, rather than “oh, I bet this is another weapon I already have or have seen before” type of feel. I hope they can put that back in this one, but I don’t know. My hope for this sequel is kind of iffy.

Whatever they do with Totk I’m sure it’ll be great Butter Dog!

I think something to make tears of the kingdom better is more wildlife monsters and if underwater stuff was added there could be weapons you could use under water and there could be bosses like a sea serpent

The durability system never bothered me. I also never found any especially wasted space. I loved the story and the way it was told. Of course this list is subjective, but these are things I personally had no problem with. Great video btw!

I thought that the Master Sword would become unbreakable after the full Trial of the Sword... we all know it didnt but something like that shoukd be in TotK!

We should be able to have more than one potion effect

I think the reason they made it so that you can only have one effect is to incentivise planning ahead and preparation. But yeah I agree more than one effect would be great.

I think we need mods to be able to be installed within the switch, such as rotp, for the people who don't have pcs, but we would have to pay extra. We do need more of different types of shrines, and to feel that the exploration part of the game isn't the most important. I'd also love to be able to explore underwater! Butter doge!

Botw2 should have some puzzles in the map, like for example a draw bridge that need to be activated by placing a heavy object on a pedestal

With the underwater, you could have shrines hidden on the bottom of islands to add special secrets to the game

the ultimate challenge in botw: one weapon at all times, when you get the master sword you can have that and another. one shield at all times one bow at all times only 3 flasks max, when you make food you eat it immediately only change armour in clothing shops or links house cant keep an ungodly amount of materials but you can only for quests if you want it to be harder do no teleportation

I think a good feature would be to have enemies more consistently wield weapons that are worth the effort of killing them. Fighting a silver bokoblin just for a dragon bone club is simply not worth it. More times than not, the solution is to just not fight the enemy. Also environmental damage (bomb barrels, rocks, metal crates) should scale with the enemies.

In a high difficulty, it would be cool to see that you’re getting one-shot by swords if you don’t have an armor on, and two or three-shot by other weapons Sorry my english is kinda bad

I like most of your points except for the linearity I would be nice to have maybe like an 1 hour of mandatory exploration or something like that But I do like the speedrunning aspect of BOTW where all I have to do is beat the tutorial and I can beat all the blights and actual Ganon after bullet time bouncing all the way to hyrule castle So from a speedrunners perspective, the non linearity adds so much to BOTW, but I am excited to see a BETTER more defined and detailed story than the first game Because the story of the first game was great it just lacked presentation

Im BEGGING for Nintendo to add a dog petting feature

Definitely would’ve liked cave exploration similar to Skyrim in BotW, but perhaps it would’ve been too overwhelming. Hence why it would make even more sense in the sequel to provide new exploration possibilities in the skies, caves, and underwater. BotW already has excellent replay value & the shrines are fantastic especially the multiple test of strengths, so it really depends on how the player approaches all this to their benefit. This is the same case for the “empty world.” Use stasis to check your surroundings & scout the area at a high point like the tops of hills. The world really is not empty. There’s plenty to do while traveling such as scavenging flora, hunting animals, korok seeds, shrines, eliminating enemy camps, field bosses, chasing dragons, and completing side quests and main quests.

I think if there was more wildlife and monsters this goes with under water like a sea serpent

As someone who has been playing breath of the wild since 2019 and recently bought the dlc, I think that master mode is only hard when you are starting but when you start to get good weapons you can farm lynels to get their gear then do 40 dungeons to get the master and speedrun the divine beasts to finally beat the game and go back to your regular save file (In some cases)

not gonna lie, the only thing I hate more than Magda in breath of the wild is the durability system, there was once when I was fighting a gold Lynel and it was one hit from dying but my trusty ancient bladesaw decided to break and He was able to regenerate his health. Butter dog!

I just started playing botw like a week ago. My friend was playing it, and I wanted to join in. The one thing that's really confusing me is why there is no blacksmith or anything like that. I have a nice weapon and I have to hoard it? Come on! Let me fix them for rupees or merge 2-3 decent into 1 great weapon. I hate that I have to resort to keeping 1-2 Moblin arms on hand incase I run out while out fighting
