You guys should definitely come back to Da Lat and find more hidden gems. I think there's a clay city nearby as well as other interesting stuff like that yet to be explored. And go do the canyoning!

I’ve just googled the clay city - it looks really cool. We’ll definitely have to check that out next time we’re in Dalat, thanks! 😀 We loved Dalat, and we absolutely LOVE Canyoneering so we’ll definitely be back!

I LOVE this video as you guys found some things other vloggers haven't found yet: that train and the AMAZING pagoda!! That is by far the COOLEST and most unique pagoda I have ever seen and I'm surprised no one showcased it before this. Then again, you guys actually spent way more time in Vietnam than the average vloggers whom go in find the most popular stuff, then dip out.

Awww thank you! We get a bit frustrated watching the majority of vloggers who all jump into a city, video the same 3 of 4 things as everyone else and leave straight away (and somehow still get 100x the views we do). It’s as if they are trying to do the bare minimum to get a KZread video out of it, and not actually travelling for the sake of enjoying travel. We try to stay everywhere a while as we want to have time to explore (some of our best moments are when we stumble on something we weren’t expecting) and you can’t properly explore if you’re ticking off the main tourist sites in a rush. Also, we have no idea why the Pagoda isn’t more famous - we’ve been to a A LOT of temples and Pagodas in South East Asia and this was right up there as one of the very best and most impressive. When we advise people about Dalat this is going to be at the very top of our list of recommendations.

@@shotinthedarktravel Yeah, I thought it was super impressive as well and wondered why vloggers don't bother researching a bit more to find something like that. BTW, I saw a video from Hello Hunnay on Yen Tu up north and it was amazing! Might want to add that to your list next time you're in Vietnam...or maybe even Ba Be Lake (saw a mother daughter pair do a trip there that was really cool).

I'm curious why you liked the Maze Bar but not the Crazy House since they are similar concepts? Is it because the Crazy House had too many tourists that impede your views and such? I've always loved the idea of the Maze Bar, but I can imagine a bunch of Western backpackers getting drunk in there and ruining the vibe (spilled drinks and such all over - especially as some of those steps can be tricky).

Yeah that was one of the main reasons! Crazy House was cool for 5 mins but then we were basically in really long queues to climb up weird staircases and take photos (I don’t know if we got it on an unusually busy day?) For us, Crazy Bar was very similar to Crazy House except it was free entry, there were way less people, we didn’t have to queue behind hundreds of tourists, it was a genuine maze and we got lost several times which made it more fun, and they sold alcohol. We went early evening on a weekday though so it wasn’t busy at all - it might have been a different story if we went there on a Friday or Saturday late at night! I dread to think how loads of drunk people get on with uneven stairs, no handrails, and a genuine maze 😱
