People stopped stanning Nana for falling in love while others like me were crying because we had to say goodbye to her because of fans like them.

A side note: 1) Minami till this day feels uncomfortable whenever shaving her head is brought up by others. So please, let her move on. 2) Rino was transferred as a punishment, yet she became so popular and made HKT48 gain popularity. Some of notable members are Former IZ* ONE members Yabuki Nako and Miyawaki Sakura. They’re very close to her and basically she raised them in the group. 3) Maho case is so messed up knowing some of her members leaked her information to the men who attacked her. One of them is rumored to be a very well-known Produce48 trainee. Who ended up graduating NGT48 and leaving the entertainment industry as a whole due to the massive hate she’s got.

Noe got some backlash after laughing off at live I believe, when the news hit, and the situation wasn't really one to laugh at. The girl who was rumoured to have leaked Maho's information was Ogiyuka, but the group didn't confirm it, only didn't put her in the center following the scandal, even though she was extremely popular. So we will probably never know

It was in her contract to not date, but She decided to do so, IT SUCKS, but as many AKB48 members and Miichan herself have said, If you get into AKB48 knowing that the group has 恋愛禁止条例 and its enforced in your contract you have to be careful because Shunkan Bunshun is worse than Dispatch and will destroy your career as long as they get attention😑 Many have done it successfully but She got caught and was demoted, Also, She is a problematic Idol, It was her 2nd scandal, but I love Miichan regardless🤩😍

Just like how people who go to work and signed their contract saying they will be at work from 9-5, they can't just leave early or ditch work whenever they want with no consequence. I would not have put my company at risk of ridicule for one actress. She was already one of their most popular idols, it was in both of their best interest that they handled her case correctly.

Idc if it's controversial but I think idols should not date publicly for privacy and safety reasons. If nobody knows about your bias's relationship there will be no issues. Work life and private life should be kept separate! Their relationships are their business and no one else's.

My Oshi forever Nana!!! I really miss her she didn’t deserve to leave yet. Even though she was in akb for more than a decade she still had more time to spend there. Her stage presence can’t relate to anyone there. She will forever be a part of akb even if she isn’t in the group. She was loved by so many. I really love Mion she stood up for her member and best friend. Nana was someone that Minegeshi really loved and hold dear to her heart that she even went to her graduation even though she wasn’t in the same generation. She was like a mom to her and she herself felt like she was her mom. When I tell you I was balling my eyes out the day she announced she was graduating I’m not even lying. Not only me but the members on her graduation and the other half of Yuuna Yuiri was crying like never before she wasn’t ready to say bye to her best friend. It’s about to be 3 months and it’s still hits hard. Thank you Nana. 3977!!!

I like how sasshi literally had a scandal over being aggresive in bed yet she became the most popular member in akb because of it. She went from an undergirl to the actual center of the group 4 times in the general election, breaking the record of the most votes in the general election. tons of variety shows, and is now producing 3 idol groups. The plan of the journalist to ruin her reputation backfired miserably.

Oh this made the news in the U.S. I remember her hair being cut….it was so sad! 😔

Well they make you fall crazily in love for them all by just standing in the corner, looking hot. How do you expect some fans to react when they find out their bias is dating? Some people just can't control their hearts..and I kinda empathize but at the same time it's got to stop. We need more common sense and that is we can't have our idols because: 1.) They're celebrities and we're beneath them 2.) Idols do so much to make us happy. They go through so much..they go the extra mile for their fans 😭🥹❤ they deserve a little happiness. 3.) As a fan dating an idol wouldn't you be putting your idol in danger as well? Especially with how fans are when idols date? Lol some fans will throw rocks if they found out you were dating their bias

I have another suggestion the happened today. Lee Siyeon announcing her graduation. For those who don’t know she was a Korean member in nmb48 sister group of akb. She had a showroom which is like vlive and all these knetz came in criticizing her for her Gravure photoshoot where sometimes they are just in bikinis or less. They body shamed her, called her names and she cried. And now today she announced graduation because she said her dream changed and she has different plans in Korea Mind you this is a few months after her saying that she wasn’t to her an idol for a long time and that she enjoys it a few months before. I’m sorry but I blame them. She was a fan for a long time of these groups, she learned Japanese, and she moved there alone just for her dream to change her dream just like that.

It was in her contract, she voluntarily signed it and broke it repeatedly and her company didn't even punish her for it. She got moved to a KKS position for a bit so She would be out of the media's eye and then became one of the AKB48 frontlines, getting a solo career and a unit outside AKB48. She may seem dumb but she knew how to retaliate back to Shunkan Bunshun as it was the 2nd time they tried to stop her career, and it wouldn't be the last...

Over the last five years, I've noticed fans, particularly those from Gen Z, becoming more aware of shipping idols with each other sexually. These days, whenever lewd Photoshop or fanart of idols is posted on social media, I see comments calling it inappropriate or lame, whereas in the past, there was little pushback to these sorts of things. I might be overly optimistic, but I believe in the younger generations; they seem to understand personal boundaries better than past generations. If we can continue to promote awareness of personal boundaries amongst fans and discourage the idea that fans are entitled to an idol's personal life, then eventually the companies will evolve to meet our changing expectations. It needs to be championed by the Knetz to work though.

Okada was really a loved member of akb48. Not only for her love of singing and performing but for her easy to approach and caring. Her seniors loved her Yukirin says that she was one of the members that could lead akb48. They used to buy and get along with each other easily and she sometimes find it difficult since she is from 3rd generation. Minegishi who was like a mother to her in akb. When she became a trainee she became a part of team 4 and called them Minegishi kids. She became really close with Nana and has said many times that she felt like she would be a leader in akb and saw a lot of potential in her even before she became one of the top members. She really taught her a lot and even admired her. On her graduation on April she appeared at Nanas graduation even though she already graduated and isn’t part of her graduation. Which is rare for seniors to appear unless they are close. There are more seniors. Juniors there are many not only from akb but also STU48 which she was a kennin of. Kokoa from STU48 she really loved her. She was like a role model, mother. Even though she had her rebellious phase like nana says she still loved her. She even sent her a letter on Mother’s Day. She would always tell Nana to never graduate STU48 so that they could be together for a long time. She even told her the day of her announcement and she even had doubts of graduating. The day of her graduation from STU48 she was crying non stop. Another member of STU48 is Yumirin. She actually called herself Naachans wife. Nana was her oshi and she really looked up to her and was so attached to her. Even during the pandemic when she couldn’t celebrate Nanas birthday together she bought a cake and celebrated Nanas birthday by herself on showroom. She called many of them her daughters and treated them like daughters. Suzuha would call her Papa. Zukki would call Minegishi grandma since she is mom of Nana. Hatsuka was admired by Nana by how determined she was when practicing.hikarun, senatan. Other Juiniors like Oguri Yui who Nana loved and was starting to get close with. Other members are ofc 15ki especially miki and mako. They always get mad at her she says something bad about herself because they don’t believe she is imperfect. Sakura she and nana were close since they were senbatsus for some of the same songs. Naachan comforted Sakura when she cried. One moment I remember is when Sakura said that she loved Nana and she asked her if she could sit next to her in the bus. She was like I never do that to anyone but that nana was so cute. Hitomi is another member who got close to recently. Since she left to Korea she couldn’t get close to her even though she admired her. But when she came back they got close to each other. YuuMogiOn are like the closest members from Akb48. They even have a KZread channel together. Mion is reallly close to Naachan. She has said many times that she has always been by her side and they have shared many of their personal things to each other. I feel like she is her right hand since Mion is the general Manager. She always admired Nana for her singing abilities and just how of an amazing person she is. Last but not least Yuiri. Yuiri is like the other half of Nana. She has been friends with Nana for about 10 years. Many people know them as Yuuna and wished they had a friendship like theirs. They are more than friends they are like family. They say things or do things at the same time. Yuiri has said that while others try to be spoil to her she feels weird but when Nana does it to her she excepts it. Before Nana graduated Yuiri said that she looked back at all the moments that they have spend together and that she realized that she was going to feel lonely. The day of her graduation concert she was crying like we’ve never seen Yuiri cry. Even Yukirin saw and was trying to comfort her. Then the day of the Graduation concert in the theater she read her a letter she wrote that explained what she wished for her and what was thinking of. She said that they believe that when you catch a petal as it falling and you make a wish your dream will come true. She wished for Nana to be healthy and for her dreams to come true. She really had a hard time saying goodbye to her friend. Also she was mother of all of Nana’s daughters. Anyway Nana will be a missed presence in Akb and will go dawn as one of the legendary members.

I think Minami Minegishi‘s shocking hair shaving was all scripted by their agency for a promotional strategy. After that her name became more known to the public so it was successful. But it was just overly dramatic and it looked very weird even from a Japanese point of view. Other AKB members had dating scandals too but non of them apologized in that serious way or something. Even she had another scandals later but she just wrote a message to fans and that was all.

How exactly would you know that this was all scripted??? And what if it was all real and Mii-chan's head-shaving scandal actually happened due to social pressure and the toxicity of Japanese Idol culture??? Sure no one really made her do it, but she still felt the need to do it in order to apologize for her actions. And that right there not only says a lot about the Japanese Idol industry but also shows the type of hell that many of these idols, celebs, and influencers go through on a daily basis. Especially if they start in the industry at a very young age. You saw what Lindsey Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Britney Spears, and Miley Cyrus went through. It even happened to starlets like Judy Garland, Shirley Temple, Marylin Monroe, Amy Winehouse, and Brook Shields (who's still alive thank goodness). The entire idol industry as a whole is very corrupted and it's like that world-wide and it's been happening since the dawn of time. It's not just something that's scripted or made up. Also her hair was shaved by her hair dresser, it’s also obvious that her video was filmed professionally by professional staffs. It was all scripted and managed by her agency.

I’ve lived in Japan for nearly forty years. There are many things about this country and culture that I absolutely love; but there are - of course - things that I utterly despise. This dating ban rule - and the whole idol group ethos that it caters to - is one of the latter. I can barely contain my disgust.

This is shocking and ridiculous dating shouldn't even be banned in the 1st place bse fans will get entitlement ...my heart breaks for her

She DECIDED TO DO IT herself. Also, She had gotten in a similar scandal before and ended up becoming one of AKB48's frontline members regardless, Shunkan Bunshun is the worst and although they tried to stop her career her company (Ogi Production) never dropped her and AKB48 neither.

You should've added Sutou Ririka surprisingly announcing her marriage in the general election, making it more surprising than Watanabe Mayu's graduation announcement, and causing a lot of outrage within the fans and the group itself.

Yeah, but they are "idols", and idols are not normal people. Do normal people get the success, fame and money these idols get? Do normal people get ton of fans to cheer on, follow them everywhere, and spend ton of money/time/effort on them? Etc. The idols can quit being an idol, going back to a normal life and dating/marrying whoever they want, right? Why don't they do that? Everything has up and down. You can't choose only the good stuff.

I will never forget finding out about this. I was so shocked hearing about this and I felt so bad for her. I also saw the video and while I didn’t understand what she was saying because there were no captions, I knew what it was about and I think it is ridiculous they’re not allowed to date. She didn’t have to shave her head due to being caught.

I remember when this happened. It was so messed up.

I happy that Minami Minegeshi stayed in akb even after the whole scandal happened. She wanted to stay for her friends and juniors. She really did raised and skilled a lot of them including my oshi Okada Nana. Hee apology was really talked about a lot internationally. Before graduating she when to YuuNaMogiOn (YUIRI,NANA, MOGI,MION) channel and they wrote things they want to leave in the past on pieces of wood to burn. Yes she’s been told she can have children and get married. Naachan could’ve stayed but I’m guessing she felt guilt with the fans. She decided to leave because she thought it would make them feel better. But she didn’t need to apologize.

The only time I can see logic in a no dating ban is for the first 2 years after debut when it's important for the members to be fully focused on the success of the group since it's such crucial time period for the group and usually they are young so dating isn't of the utmost importance. But if you are an adult and not a rookie I see no issue in dating but I'm sure there is probably plenty of idols who are dating but are just keeping it private especially if they are dating a non celebrity. But at the same if you sign a contract knowing there is a no dating rule and you break it don't be shocked when the company uses that against you. But dating should never be considered a scandal. I wonder of how much this no dating rule is about the para-social relationships with fans or is it also about not wanting their kpop idols to be distracted with a relationship in fears it would negatively affect the group. I mean relationships are hard enough but imagine dating someone is constantly working, practicing, traveling, performing etc., it's hard to maintain a relationship if you can't spend quality time together.

That's one of the main reasons idols end up breaking up I think especially if both idols are really busy with schedules, traveling, practice, and promotions. They barely have anytime to go on dates or text each other. Honestly I don't see any rush in dating when you're an idol. If I was a beautiful, talented, rich, popular, and powerful K-Pop idol I would just let everyone else come to me lolol. Like you're a K-Pop idol...you can literally have almost any man or woman you could ever want. Who wouldn't wanna go out with a K-Pop idol?

Don't, Miichan did it voluntarily and knowingly. It was her way of securing her career and successfully becoming one of the AKB48 frontlines, getting a solo career and a unit outside AKB48. She may seem dumb but she knew how to retaliate back to Shunkan Bunshun as it was the 2nd time they tried to stop her career, and it wouldn't be the last...

I agree. I also hate how much of these celebrities lives they have to record a d show fans. They should only provide music and go on certain shows, but after that, have a private life. This is exactly how it is for male kpop idols. A bunch of teen girls fantasize about being with these adult men so they're not allowed to live normal lives or they'll get kicked out of their groups. You've never seen a guy apologize for dating? Chen, Bobby, Woosung and Doojoon. Even here she says Alan apologized. The sad part is that ANYONE has to apologize for dating in the first place. These celebrities deserve to live happy normal lives outside of their job, just like everyone else. Thats so wrong! Kpop fans are so sensitive and need to get out of their fantasies and realize that idols date. All these kpop idols are all beautiful and handsome. They see each other too ans have crushes. They date and fall in love!

The difference is with men and women in this industry is the side of genre they're on. Same with Kpop Mynami is in a more pop cutsie group so she's treated as a perfect angel. There's Jpop idols (females) that date, marry, have kids, curse, dress half naked, smoke, drink ect. Because they aren't on the cute side so they're treated differently I say that to say this, Alan had to issue a small apology because Exile tribe is not on the cutsie pop side. They're more hip-hop, rock style so he's not expected to be a certain way. To be this perfect God They're exile tribe members that are In relationships, married, have kids, smoke, drink, curse, ect. While in Kpop, the guys and girls are expected to only love their fans with some fans being NORMAL and being okay with the😅 favorite groups dating, BUT on the hip-hop side, they'll get no hate like kpop would. Make or female While with the pop side in Korea, you'll see more apologies and breakups because fans are nowhere near normal and are obsessively crazy

In this case, their target market audiences are middle age to older men, who bought into the whole "pseudo love" this idol group selling. Sure those fans are often crazy and unreasonable, BUT because of that they are the ones who spend the most money, time and effort to support the idol group. So without them, the idol group would lose a huge chunk of the fandom AND money and fame, and more than likely fading into obscurity. The idol can chose to quit, leave the group and go back to a normal life and date/marry whoever they want, right? But why don't they do it? You can't have it both way, making money, fame and success from these fans, then turn around and thell them that you don't owe them anything. AGAIN the people who pay your bill, for your lifestyle will have HUGE CONTROL over you. That's the reality of it!

Best... don't make this women your idol...

A lot of people in jail, and a lot of ex-idols. I think causual fans should realise why they're called idols and are separate from people that are called singers and artists. Idols does not really primarily sells music and performances, what they're selling is a "relationship"

Imagine You Need to pay the price of love. Just because they are Idols doesn't mean they are Dolls. Love is so fast these days. You meet, you kiss, you makeout, and then you find the next profile to date. Peoples expectations and needs which only have lust and desires crush the heart of soul. Yet some people have even the littlest hope to find someone that understands them, love them, think of them and care for them the same way they did till years. Why dreaming of Love is a punishment? Did these Koreans forget that their country is free from Hitler and Kim Jong-uh, then why ban something that makes you alive. Working 18 hours a day, Continuously dieting, putting on a smile, pretending and being take forgetting the real you .... even after this if you have one reason to feel loved then why is that a ban? Love is not sex, not lust, not a game, not a aim. You search for it, you don't get. You just meet them But yet people don't want that to happen. Strangers understand better than close ones. But These idols ..cant expect that. When they are in their 20's people put on their needs on them because they are young and beautiful so they don't date. And they need to build a family after 30. Love doesn't have an age but you can't control someone's heart.

The one that is toxic here is the Japanese fans. Its ok for me to have their own love life as long as it is private and they are both on legal age.
