Of course you would. Anyone would. How could you not use a part of yourself? It's like having perfectly good arms or legs but not using them. That ain't gonna happen. It's **How** you would use them that says what type of person you are. Arms and legs can inflict physical injuries on another person, too.... so how you inflict injury on another is kind of immaterial to the question of whether you are an ethical and moral person.

heh I never thought about it for real so I wouldn't unless it was by accident or subconciously. I mean I dpnt know since I don't have powers but yeah I never for one second thought I had psychic powers, I would use it to cheat(definitely wouldn't do that when I was young). And I'd never make a connection to sports(this might jiust be stupid). It's hard to know how natural it would be to do this when it's part of one's physiology

Yeah, I would think the fact that he was attracted yet did nothing to show it, would show him as having some morals. Everyone has dark impulses, it's whether you can control them that makes you a creep or not.

Wait, how is using mutant powers to gain academic achievements cheating? They are his abilities, no more than if someone was born with a better physique, or greater intelligence than someone else. "Yeah, you won, but it's only because you were better than me at a core level." Should we ban the exceptionally gifted from sports and science? Is that the moral thing to do?

Constantly screaming in the 90's cartoon is the worst thing he's done.

If he has the power to read mind and uses it then he did earn those trophies. It's his ability.

I think splitting off part of Jean Greys Mind to lower her Power, instead of being a good Fatherfigure, is also really shady. Thanks for making Dark Phoenix possible, Xhole.

Being a good father figure wouldn't have stopped Jean's powers from overwhelming her. He needed to suppress part of her powers so that it wouldn't kill people.

Normally these videos reach pretty far, but the part about erasing Scott's memory of his dead brother is really messed up.

How is the last one his fault? If I steal your credit card it's not your fault if I use it to buy an atomic bomb, since you did not get a say in it.

All this shows is that Professor X is/was as flawed as the rest of us. No big deal. Many of us would've done things like this if we had the chance. If most of us could do the things we thought about? Please! Spare us the self righteousness!

So professor x is a disgusting human being. This doesn’t really surprise me. But his fascination with jean and crush just rubs me the wrong way. In the comics shes a teen, and in her eyes he’s a second dad and mentor to her. I mean he was the one that helped “cage” (I refuse to say Phoenix, that’s its own entity)/control her powers. The age gap is hella big. And it sound like he made it toxic for Jean. No wonder she needed to leave for a while.

Well realistically, anyone with Professor X's powers would probably become ruler of the Earth or something like that. If you've watched Jessica Jones you know how dangerous mind control can be. I mean he deleted Cyclops's memories of his brother! If you can do that, what can't you do?

Watching the last 2 X-Men movies, I knew that Xavier was a bastard. I wonder what happened to the school and the team in Logan?

You forgot the first thing about Xavier. His school is really a militia trading camp. They learn to you their power in battle. If they use the powers for good is not the issue the parents and the students were mislead of the true porpoise of the “school” in list time I check there never motion of the institution being a charity so the tuition paid for their train as a militia.

I did not say that he do nothing, only that he was honest, he has a training camp pretenditing to be school.None of the students at that school did anything with their lives. The life of those students is reduced to one thing to fight for the cause of Xavier.

Looper missed one really bad one. X-Men and the Micronauts mini-series, Xavier (his dark half) mind raped his female students, the New Mutant ones.

Vulcan is the older brother; and also, he wasn't the only one to survive... Darwin was inside of him, which made him that much more powerful... Vulcan is an omega level mutant, manipulates all energy.

I don't see a problem though. He was attracted to a hot young girl that didn't quite look her age probably. Or not the younger age. Like it might happen if you 're ever walking down the street ect. I'm not saying people should try to get with underage girls but I don't think its a big deal either. He didn't raise her or anything.

Another example might be keeping Tessa (Sage) as an undercover agent for YEARS, and letting her be all but tortured by Sebastian Shaw. I am sure there is more if I really thought about it.

comics do that with everyone cause it's like a soap. They just start doing whatever random crap and slowly twisting characters for drama. ALso some of these were obviously retcons. Plus at the time a few of the early ones weren't meant to be bad in any way. I don't think those count. But after the modern era the writers definitely started going out of their way to make him have a dark side. Though it's reasonable enough to know how to take down people with specific powers ect.

I get that xmen in particular probably mirrors a soap more closely then most other marvel comics I just feel that started pushing that dark side to far having a way to stop his students and himself if they ever turned makes perfect sense but its some of the other stuff that I feel damaged the character and to this day there is no effort to bring him back....my favorite days of the xmen was a large school with the xmen and other students with Professor X leading or mentoring them but those days seem long gone.

I do respect Charles for being a mentor for the X men but this is completly NUTS. I am glad that in tv shows, movies and live-action version he is NOT a jerk.

Hence why cartoon and videogame Xaviers have more redeeming qualities.
