That’s why I don’t like the whole krakoa thing. The x-men were always metaphors for oppressed people since the 60s, and they were used to present different sides of the issue. Professor X men like MLK and magneto men like Farrakhan or Malcolm X. They had two different approaches to the problem of mutant oppression. But having them band together to form an ethnostate ruins all that ambiguity and has some questionable messages as well.

@@maryarunkle7519 Not really. "Insanity is trying the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result". The X Men have been around for 6 decades. If every story was about them trying to peacefully assimilate with humans while fighting the opposite ideology, it would get bland real quick. These different perspectives make for an interesting read. Lastly, if you can despotic versions of Superman, a character who literally embodies hope, then Xavier trying to create an ethnostate is fine too.

@@scientia.veritas I might have miscommunicated, my problem isn’t so much the ethnostate thing but that all the mutants are okay with it. If some mutants were to be divided over krakoa then that would be interesting, but it really seems like all mutants are in agreement over this. To me it’s no longer showing different perspectives, and that’s the problem.

@@maryarunkle7519 Well it’s more Mutant Israel than anything. A homeland for Mutants to always to call their own especially since the US and the rest of the world is always trying to deport/kick them out to. Also several Mutants are choosing to not live on Krakoa, it’s not a monolith.

You missed another version of Professor X that was also in the Amalgam Universe, Dr. Strangefate. He may be a mix of Dr. Strange and Dr. Fate, but his real name is also Charles Xavier and is the only one that's actually aware that the Amalgam Universe is an amalgam of the Marvel and DC universe and shouldn't exist.

He was also the antagonist in the second Amalgam crossover, "DC/Marvel: All Access" as he tried to re-merge the Amalgam universe even if it meant destroying the DC and Marvel universes.

I think they could've mentioned Onslaught as an alternate version, seeing as though he's a combo of Professor X and Magneto
