When drifting with one monitor turn on neck fx so you have head movement helped me a ton

I got my sim rig to learn to drift too and I found myself completely consumed by rally racing. The history, the cars, the technique, the tracks. Everything about it.

Yeah I noticed it too. It’s a super nice mic but I just got it and I think I new to dial in the settings and whatnot. Hopefully I’ll be able to improve it for the next vid 🙏🏼

Some tips for sliding through the corners and onto the shoulder: A couple times you were on a bit too much throttle while you were transitioning which can send you too far and to the outside of the turn, so try less throttle or even off throttle entirely during the transition (but get back on it after you've caught the car in its next drift). Other times your reaction when you knew you were going to slide off the track was to let off the throttle while sliding sideways and accept your fate. Instead, get on the throttle and use the wheelspin to help keep you on the track (since your car is pointed inward). Basically, if you're sliding backwards off track but you step on the gas your wheels will try to move you forward and this can keep you on the track. Best of luck!

To anyone watching this recently, I talked to DOF. You don’t have to put the new motors on. It now just comes with the motors that can handle the monitor mount. Yayyy🎉

next upgrade get some kind of light weight fabric and cover the sim make it more immerive

When you're drifting at the end of the vid and are overshooting the transition to turn 2 it's mostly because of too much throttle/not enough low end feathering. A good way to practice is have your gas pedal on screen and make sure you're not hitting full throttle in the drift.

I need that motion rig in my life... Looks like too much fun drifting hahaha. One thing I would recommend is getting some good neckFX/head movement settings for AC, it makes drifting in 1st person waaay better IMO. As far as E-brake VS clutch kick/scandi flick entries, it mostly comes down too the speed of your entry. If your coming into the corner with too much speed you will want to e-brake entry because it will slow you down and give you more control of your angle/not over rotate. If you want too maintain/gain speed on your entry you clutch kick/flick. Don't let people fool you, e-brake entries are fine, it's just when you rely on the e-brake to much without knowing "why/when" too actually use it. Especially if you are wanting to get into doing tandems, know why/when to use the e-brake is SUPER important. When chasing your constantly on the e-brake to keep yourself on the proper line and to keep proper speed/proximity on the lead.

You need a pair of front-facing fans controlled by the telemetrics coming from your game.

the last thing you need is a 27" or 32" triple screen properly setup or the last samsung g9 57" which is insane for simracing!

I almost pulled the trigger on the 57” G9, but it couldn’t safely fit in my office, so I’m holding off until I don’t have roommates so I can have a full sim racing room

I would like a video of more of the chest mount veiw tbh but I'm loving this

recommend moving the monitor closer behind the wheel or getting a wheel extension

14:06 You could potentially get a wheel, which has four paddle shifters behind the wheel, so that you can actually set blinkers to them. Like the Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel R300 or the Fanatec McLaren GT3 V2 Replica :)

I know the struggle i seriously got into simming this year and moved way way past a g29 with a Moza R12 CRP pedals moza shifter and hand brake got a much better monitor. A Samsung QN90A and a HP reverb G2 to replace the Quest 2 and a Ifi zen dac and amp V2 Audeze LCD2's and Sennheiser HD650 a Ifine AM8T mic and boom all i need now is Ifine chat mixer and a NRG wheel its happening im almost where i personally wanna be many thousands of dollars later its definitely took my sim drifting to the next level especially when paired with a Next level racing cockpit im in love at this point i ciuld live in my sim i live it that much money very well spent ive truly become pationate about it now i finally need to make my. KZread channel itll be all about mods and gameplay and hopefully at some point equipment reviews to with some algorithm luck ill get there

Hey garrett they actually do have real wiper/signal stalks you can buy. Theyre about $200, but if you search youll find them easily

The sim content is fun. Can you revisit that driving down the big mountain challenge? It was for 4x4s and every attempt ended in a crumpled heap at the bottom next to the ocean. That should test he new motors really good.

I think the FOV is great now. Looks very good on the GoPro Footage. Maybe you could just switch it up more often and show more GoPro Views. And if the FOV is too close to the dash like in the C63 you can map buttons to move the seat forwards and backwards to see more from the interior.

Leftfoot brake to slow down, handbrake to extend corner. Throttle to transition

i'd love to see you do some wheel-to-wheel racing on a circuit on a sim like iRacing or Assetto Corsa Competizione

the zoomed in camera makes it look really slow the pov angle makes it look better

Need to turn on “neck FX” its what lets the first person view rotate with the car sliding

I think adding a horizon line or something on the wall behind the screen would make the motion appear more on that POV

Didn't watch the full video so I can't know if you commented on this but wouldn't VR make it more realistic than a monitor that moves around since you're fully immersed in it and your head moves with the game, causing your view to move too?

Brand new, the motion platform is about $3k, and then each upgraded motor is I thiiiiink $300 each. I got my motion platform used and it came with all the Fanatec stuff, so I got a bit of a deal. Only thing I bought new were the motor upgrades. Depending on where you live, you might get lucky on Offerup of FB marketplace, otherwise new might be the only option. It’s overkill for sure, but it’s SOOOOO fun if it’s something you’re able to get

you should just do the go pro pov, not the cropped in version just the whole screen is the pov

I like the pov but I'd like both the pov and a face cam/basically how it used to look before. Maybe get a helmet with a gopro on top so it doesn't look too weird on the outside

Forget the quest 2 man get a HP G2 reverb and thank me later so long as your pc can handle it as long as you got a 3070 or higher you'll be fine the higher the better though

Why not use VR. It's 10x better than a single flat screen, and you wouldn't have had to upgrade

19:40 in order to fix that you need to control your throttle in the corners better to avoid spinning out
