I’ll never forget my first communion…receiving my first kiss from my Bridegroom. I cried with anticipation and joy. First kiss at 72!!

If only I could speak to you in my local dialect Fr. Your choice of words and the quotations from the different saints should be the exact words we should use too when we talk to small children and the first communicants or even to all during evangelization about Jesus esp in the Blessed Sacrament and during Holy Communìon. Truly, He is love and should be given love in return esp during Communion. So sad that divorce is now approved in the Philippines, a Catholic country. We pray for all Catholics around the world that we may truly live Jesus esp in the Blessed Sacrament, His Words esp the Ten Commandments, and the Holy Mass.

I imagine Tarcisius went out with the Eucharist right after Mass after hearing 'ite missa est'. Those surrounding Tarcisius were behaving like a pack of wild dogs. He refused to give what was holy to the dogs (nor did he cast pearls before swine). They then turned on him and broke his body. When Jesus took the bread he gave a blessing (eu + logos or good word) before he broke it and gave it to his disciples. When he took the cup he gave thanksgiving (eu + charist or good grace) before pouring it out to his disciples. He made the bread and wine and his disciples holy. He can make us holy by we becoming a part of him by he becoming a part of us at his communing table. Even the crumbs which fall from his communing table, the little dogs are grateful to eat. His table so abundantly full of life, the food spills onto the ground, and his grace pours out like wine generously overflowing the chalice of his covenant as it did upon the cross. His life and blood are there for those grateful (eu + charist) who bless him (eu + logos). We need not be like a pack of dogs fighting for life when he (Eu + Logos) is willing to give (Eu + Charist) us eternal life of himself. While the world like ungrateful dogs growl, we, sanctified, can go out (ite missa est) to speak the good words (eu + logos) of thanksgiving (eu + charist) and sanctify the world.
