You are correct, but Ireland will wait and do so as part of the EU. I, too, wish they would stand on their own 2 feet and initiate an acknowledgement and support of the South African application. Sadly, the situation always ends up being political instead of humanitarian. As an Irish citizen, I feel ashamed and utterly disappointed in my Government on this issue, especially considering our history.

The credibility of the ICJ hangs on their judgment in this case. The enforcement of any punitive measures against Israel deemed appropriate by the court will be the responsibility of all our governments, and if our governments falter, then it becomes the responsibility of all of us.

Yes- I know quite a few and are long-time since 1980 free-ends (as they pronounce the word friends ) we would socialize most if not every week-end. It did not matter which part of IRELAND they originated from - we all got along exceptionally well. Sadly - one who originated from Whiterock Road Belfast - decided to take his own life. The story of is is indeed tragic and saddening. I will never forget it . Gerry is truly missed by his family and friends. All that i have are memories of good times and Photos.

This will sound strange , but it is actually better that it is coming from the countries currently involved in the ICJ case. I feel Arab countries wouldn't be listened too by not only the court but people world wide in general as many would think there is some other hidden agenda behind it. In saying that I do however agree with your statement and they should had have some sort of presence, especially from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkiye or Saudi Arabia who have world status.

Everyone is hoping SA will win for the sake of palestine! Reality looks different. Judges are influenced by home countries, interests, politics, money. Israel together with US and others will vote against this claim. There is hope, as far as i know 8 out of 15 judges would be required to try and stop this. But even then israel would probably go on.

i had tears in my eye watching her speak; the way she speaks is angelical but with a tone of humanity so clear, on point and with a touch of grace that I have never seem before on a lawyer. I wish I could discuss with her in person some of my concerns. Kudos to her and South Africa.
