Today we are unboxing yet another very unique and original diver from a brand that ONLY does original designs, making them one of the bravest I featured.
The Atlantean was the first NOVE DIVER to introduce a proven formula of legible markers and timing bezel and flips it, literally!!
with a fixed outer bezel with hour markers and a floating inner timing bezel, it is very different, yet still incredibly functional.
I can see an alternative history where THIS concept was the first one proposed and making it a standard. Imagine a Rolex Submariner done like this.
As for the specs, it is powered by a Sellita SW200 and comes with a sapphire crystal.
This second generation solved all the issues I had with the original, starting with size that is now manageable AND making a better bezel locking mechanism.
All in all, this has become my favorite NOVE!!

It's cool that the dive bezel is located closer to the minute hand. It makes total sense being a real diver, timing is more important than time itself.
This brand needs more recognition. Very cool piece.

I prefer bigger watches, 40mm and above. This is pushing it at 46mm diameter but it disguises it's size well. The Citizen Orca and the Orient M-force achieve a similar effect making them actually wearable.

The engineering is impressive, but it's a honkin great lump because of it. Only HUGE watch case lovers need apply , or Shaq!
Why is their logo like they took from zelos and flipped the Z 90 degrees and slashed out a part. 😂

I think bezel mechanism is too fragile and too complicated for heavy duty use in a field or underwater. Simplicity is always the best for any tool. Also: idea behind minutes digits is so-so in my opinion. I mean: it works only for those who use this watch as dive tool - not regular watch.
Wow! That really is a fantastic watch and looks superb. A terrific review, but, one small point, Nove is pronounced Noh-vay........... "new" in Italian................

This does not wear small. It's a hockey puck.
Impressive but useless. No one professional who needs watch will buy that watch. It's much harder to read the dial if you use the besel.

Align the minute hand with the zero, see how much time has passed by looking at what the minute hand points to. Seems about equal in usefulness to me :/
