Diver here - the open bezel might be a good idea - when my normal bezel gets grit in it from diving, its this awful feeling of grinding gears as you submerge it in a a basin of water and turn it til its smooth again. The open bezel might actually mean that the grit gets out of the ratcheting mechanism more easily.

Yes, I thought so too.. I remember my first seiko diver back in late 80's.. Sand getting in to the bezel was nightmare to get rid of...Since that experience, I've got a few diver's watch but I only use my trusty old G-shock for the sea.

My 2 cents: The "N" logo on its side kinda looks too much like the "Z" Zelos logo. Exposed bezel ratchet is not an issue since I'd bet that 99.9% of buyers will never use it for diving.

Dirt, dust, nd grime will still get in there over time. I spend enough time cleaning my watches as is. The Z similarity doesn't bother much as it more solidifies Zelos' recognition in the industry. People love seiko nd rolex influences, maybe one day Zelos could hold the same pedigree

I like the exposed springs, but I hate the bezel shape lol.

I really like this piece. I think even the exposed spring fits the design language. The fact there's three fits the trident name imo. This feels very vintage dive suit to me.

Got one for my dad with engraving. Really cool and well build. So I got one for myself 😅. Don’t worry about the open bezel, it’s easy to clean. I was skeptical at first (like anyone else would) as the design was quite different, but when I’ve received the watch for my father, I just had to have one too.

I bought the Trident quartz version early this year which is the world’s slimmest dive watch at 6.8mm. I don’t think they claimed the Auto version was the thinnest. I got the all blue model, absolutely love it, definitely a conversation point. Worth every penny.

It's not for me but I definitely can appreciate the unique style and the willingness to create something new.

I'm looking for something similar to a Breitling avenger night mission but affordable. Any suggestions or recommendations? Not looking for fakes, just something with a similar look and feel.

It has no lume on the bezel, so it can't be used as a diver. Because there are big numbers molded into the metal of the bezel at 12 instead of an arrow, there's no room for a lume pip to be glued on. (If it was a triangle instead of 00, there'd be a nice flat surface to stick one onto.)

I really like the quartz thinness and was disappointed by the declared 13mm. Could the dome be thinner on either side? Also, I asked about a stainless / silver including ratchets and crown & hands + dial. They only do one in black which isn't for me. Anyways, really hope to see a new version with smaller domes and monochrome silver :-)

Is automatic Ronda movements good ? I’ve seen some microbrands using Ronda movements lately.

I like this watch.I like the coating,looks like jewelry piece and i belive thay will sell fast.It's not to expensive,it has nice spec,great movement and you can go swiming in the pool not so mutch in the sea.I would love to get one

I like thick dive watches. Like wearing a diving helmet on my arm. Substantial size and weight. A chance at interchangeable bracelets is a must for me. Maybe flat endlinks or hidden under the bezel so if it's visable it's seamless. Everyone's taste is different and we can never impress everyone and I do like the dial as well

My citizen ny0040 is 12mm thick…and it is a proper iso divers watch. The quartz nove trident version is very thin

It seems to lean towards "fashion" dive watch, a conversation starter as opposed to a legit diver. I'm curious as to the opinion of a person who actually dives, would you wear this? Does this seem like a daily driver that can take the rigors of scuba diving?

European dive distributors were selling the Steelix Eclipse Solar I was looking for... they sell dive computers nowadays instead of dive watches... Get real, a bezel is ancient technology nowadays to get you in memory lane...Reminds me on the Antikythera mechanism on this interp. Love to see this watch without bezel and slimmer wristband + T100 lume. The case back is soo pretty! Chinese build? interesting!

I give them credit for thinking outside the box, but this is one I would leave in the box, and sell! Looks to much like something Invicta would make, not too big, just to flamboyant!

I actually own that model. Bought it just to have the weirdness, but interestingly my Mrs stole it and now Wears it. One thing to note I found the bezel hard to turn...

Thinnest diver I know of: Zenith Rainbow Elite from the 90's at 9,0mm with 200m water resistance! Did I mention I own one? ;)

Interesting. I'm not sure why Nove bother talking about the thickness though. An NTH sub is only 11.5mm.

I'd say this - PROS: I really like the integrated bracelet, the clasp (if it works) looks solid and well made , the bracelet links look nicely finished and designed, screw fixed links and bracelet is a huge pro, the caseback is really nice! movement properly sized for the display. CONS: I just think the mix of materials and optics does not go well with eachother at all. mother of pearl dial on an bronze-style coated stainless steel watch with an open bezel-click system? naaaah. this is too try-hard "out there". Oh and the date window with the date inside looks horrible. Give me the specs and my mentioned pros on a stainless steel watch with a nice monocolored dial and I'd be into it!

Well it's certainly not cookie cutter, the mop dial is really beautiful but I'm not sold on the exposed elements, I can see them getting clogged up and not working properly after a while. Appreciate their unique approach but it's not for me.

Seems to me that "dive watch" should be in quotations marks more so than "thinnest". Maybe if you were hanging out at Liberace's pool. Or if you were a Russian pimp on vacation in the Bahamas. It would probably look great with a Speedo and a big gold medallion hanging around your neck. Also, the screws to secure the caseback just seem like four potential points. Not that you'd (hopefully) be loosening and tightening them very often, but it seems like the answer to a question that no one asked, and I really don't see how four points of contact would seal better than having the sealing pressure spread over the entire diameter with a screw in caseback.

I'm not sufficiently flamboyant to wear that. 😆

There is an Ali Express watch brand called Retangula who make a Seiko Monster homage with a lot of unique differences to the original Seiko. One of them is a toothed gear style bezel with the ⚙ on the outside. Here, it's on the inside. Is this the first Swiss homage of an Ali Express homage?. Hate to say it, but the Retangula looks better. This one here is pretty ugly and nothing more than a fashion dive watch.

That's entirely irrelevant, the tooth design on that watch is just for looks, whereas the teeth in this one is entirely for function. I'm all for chinese watches and homage, but in this case saying that it pays homage to something else just because the design shares a similar design element is entirely ignorant.

I doubt it will ever see sea or lake water. All the indices are the same and it doesn't even have the bezel dot . The exposed springs are a gimmick. Did they want to create the thinnest diver? Flat glass and monobloc case, with a screw on the back to unlock the crown stem to keep costs down.

The date complication is stupid

I was interested in Nove, however these are made in Hong Kong smh. Just finished reading a whole interview with the "designer"Tiffany Meerovitsch. I hate when brands fake it to try to make it. Zelos is the only Chinese company recently that's willing to say up front that they sell a Chinese made product, so I respect that and consider their watches as cheap and good alternatives. Honesty is the best policy when they ask you to spend hundreds of dollars. Nove on the other hand is trying to pull a fast one and is officially trash to me, they can keep their "swiss" made but Manufactured in China watches.

If it was bronze or brass & without the MOP dial, it would make a great steampunk convo piece. As it is, it's a bit of a mongrel.

To me this a Tool watch.

It just doesn't match, the beautiful mother of pearl dial with the heavy overmachined bezel ,,so ugly.could of been so much better imo
