The Scotch Gambit strikes again!

In this game, I played the Scotch Gambit, I was a little lost after my opponent made some weird moves. Initially, I spent a few minutes trying to find the refutation for these strange opening moves but then I realized that I was falling into a trap I talked about in a previous video👇🏽
• How to PUNISH bad open...
I eventually stopped time wasting and decided to play natural common-sense moves.

those lichess overlays while you're explaining the move sequences out loud are really helpful as someone whos way lower rated than you and still working on visualizing them in my brain immediately and easily i just learned how to play chess this past summer and have been focusing on pretty much only daily chess rather than playing rapid/blitz online, kinda like you said about playing classical on lichess i wanna have a solid understanding of what im doing before i really jump in, i wanna actually learn chess the right way. im up to 1050 on daily, but i do seem to finally be losing more of the daily games consistently since passing 1000, so i gotta learn more. maybe now it's finally time to start playing rapid 15/10 games to up my actual in game experience rather than the slow grind of raising my daily rating exclusively lol. loving the vids man keep it up more

Thank you. Yeah just keep up with the slower time controls, the fast ones wouldn't do you any good😄😄. Also, you can watch chess lectures on the saint Louis chess channel or the U.S chess school channel (check for beginner videos playlists on both) and just soak it as much general knowledge as possible. At this level you're not meant to focus on anything specific, just learn chess in general. More wins💪🏾

Good game, well played. Could it be that not all that many opponents know how to catch up with this gambit? When someone gambits against me a pawn, I always feel like I'm behind.
