The Most Intense Reality Show On TV

Комедия

Today we're finally taking a look at Bar Rescue, a show I havent seen in years but after taking another look at it, it's more insane than I remember. Probably because my only experience watching this show back in the day was in hotel rooms but STILL. Anyways enjoy this episode and... uh yeah that's your only option sorry!

You’re so right about bowling alleys. If it doesn’t look like it’s somewhere between 1975 and 1999 in there, I don’t want to be a part of it. Our local alley renovated the arcade in the front of the alley, but everything else has that retro quality. It’s owned by a former pro bowler, so I think he gets what people want, which is cheap old fashioneds in a dimly-lit wood paneled bar, cheap pitchers of beer, and giant baskets of fries.

Part of the charm of going bowling is visiting the ones that time forgot from the 70s/80s/90s. Looking around and seeing the football schedule poster for 1996, the Crazy Taxi arcade game thats been there forever, the bowling league champs picture from 1986. I want my $5 pitcher of beer, $3.50 Cheeseburger or Chicken Fingers and $1.75 basket of fries. Im not going for the $12 artisnal cocktail and $18 gourmet Korean BBQ tacos.

Wait until you find out Jon Taffer also plays unlicensed therapist where he yells at couples that are about to get a divorce lmao But like a lot of this is made up on bar rescue. People usually aren’t in that big of debt or that big of trouble. And Jon has even caused some bars to close. Apparently the crew tried contacting a bar they already visited bc apparently they were having a hard time finding places, and the bar was like hell nah lol

The way John handles revamping a damn bowling alley makes me believe he only really knows how to run a specific kinda bar and can't comprehend anything unique. It's like asking your uncle to help decorate your room and he turns it into a man-cave, choosing to spend hundreds of dollars to replace the stuff you already had with things you don't enjoy. Doesn't take into account the Thea Stilton collection on the bookshelf and fills the shelf with football memorabilia against your wishes. That's just an example, totally not a personal thing I'm still salty about.

I love this channel because it gives me about 30 minutes of a burst of American TV that I absolutely cannot sit down to watch to save my life… American editing in these shows is not only all identical, but is insanely egregious. It’s all hyper-fast quick shots, cutting back and forth, always cutting back to this interview style, and my god the, “music” and sound effects are just bananas. If you cut just the soundtrack from this and played it to someone and said, “what media is this from?” You’d find most people would assume a war movie with how fast and frantic the drum beats are… good god American TV…
