The idea is terrible. If you monetize a platform specifically aimed at children, you begin to encourage gambling amongst children. In America it's never been an ethical problem, the question never gets asked. In other countries, there are tighter government restrictions on scenarios like this

I gotta say, when I was in middle school our school iPads had Hopscotch. It was a hit amongst all students, everyday students would play it during class and everyone in my grade would compete to make the best game. A lot of the featured popular games in the app were from our school alone at one point. Really great game, it’s a shame I moved.

Best episode of shark tank! Samantha has a beautiful personality, she's also inspiring, resourceful, capable and smart. But best of all, it's not just about money it's about empowering kids. Mark's human response and appreciation because of his kids also says the same thing. No matter how much money you can make it's being a good human being that matters most!

After its launch and the media hype, Hopscotch was attaining phenomenal growth in its number of users; however, the app was still free, so the company didn’t have any revenue. Thus, the company had to raise additional venture capital. Samantha and Jocelyn took Hopscotch through two rounds of funding, in 2013 and again in 2015, and they raised $1.2 million. Eventually, the Hopscotch team realized that with continual growth, but lack of revenue, they would need to constantly look for more investment, but they didn’t want to run the risk of going out of business if they couldn’t manage to continue to raise money, so they decided to switch to a paid subscription model.

Well the purpose of life is not money. Also, your expectation is to have the money of 1 percent * 1 percent * …. of all the humans that have ever existed. You probably live better than 99% of humans in history. Better than even kings and nobility of centuries ago because of these technologies and stability. Having high expectations and those most likely not being met will depress you.
