The Most Insane 10-Carat Earrings Made by Hand!
See how we make solid platinum earrings using 10 carats in diamonds. With stones this size, diamond earrings like these are not for the faint of heart!
Take the complete journey as a Master Jeweler Gaston Rives forges the earrings frame from scrap platinum, then shapes the concentric loops, and prongs holding the beautiful diamonds in place.
From the hissing of the torch to melt the platinum, to the metal clanking of the anvil, we hold nothing back in this immersive, sensual experience.

Hello Tamara: I received your reply to my discussion about threaded posts - threaded posts are the best thing for larger 💎 diamond studs. I've found that women who wear good-sized diamond earrings never change them out - day-into-evening ease at its best! They light up a lady's face in tee-shirt and jeans or an evening gown. Threaded posts often need another person to help attach the butterfly, but, they stay on. Also, once you are used to them, you can even sleep in them. As Marilyn Munroe said: "I Love finding new places to wear diamonds"

Platinum.
Good luck
Great earrings. What was the thought of not using a screw back?
@19gregske55
3 жыл бұрын
I think you meant to say a 'threaded post'. Screwback earrings are for non-pierced 👂ears! The earrings would slip off and get lost on the ground.
@tamaraadams9317

@@19gregske55 Aren't threaded posts more secure? I haven't tried them, but I've lost more earrings with traditional backs and always wondered about threaded posts.

Hi Perran , you do it if you love it and have passion for making jewelry , I’m an old man now , but if I’ll have to do it all over again , I’ll do it , there’s no money at the beginning only Glory of making jewelry , money comes after you get a lot of experience , become a diamond setter or a Cad designer, people don’t make jewelry like me anymore, but if you decide to become a jeweler , you’ll have to be the best and practice and practice till you get it right , I wish you good luck and don’t get tired and always follow your heart
