Making a Platinum Diamond Ring by Hand - AMAZING! | 3 Stone Custom Engagement Ring

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

See how we make a platinum 3-stone diamond engagement ring by hand for a bride in Australia.
This handmade ring is forged from platinum 900 and has a total diamond weight of of 2.15 Ct. It includes a 1.51 Ct oval shaped main diamond and two 0.32 Ct oval-shaped side diamonds.
To request a ring like this or any other piece of handmade, custom jewelry, please go to our link below:
www.crmjewelers.com/custom-je...
Here are the main sections of the ring making process:
00:00 Melting the raw platinum.
00:08 Forging the melted platinum into a square shaped bar used to make the wire.
00:24 Wire is passed through rolling mill and draw plate to make thinner wires for the shank and other parts of the ring.
00:54 Molding the three bezels out of wire where the diamond stones will sit, then soldering them with 1700 platinum solder.
01:54 Shaping the ring shank through hammering and annealing.
02:23 Cutting and shaping the underneath gallery of the ring.
03:36 Shank is cut and three bezels are welded to it.
04:04 Heart shapes are carefully cut by hand into the underneath gallery.
04:27 Making and soldering the prongs to the ring.
05:09 Ends of the prongs are rounded through filing.
06:10 The three diamonds (main stone and two side stones) are set on the bezels and secured in place by manually bending the prongs.
09:08 Ring is polished one last time before it is shipped to the lucky bride!

@@Moe-716 when you have a very valuable stone, it doesn't make any sense to set it in a cheap mounting, like a casted piece. You are comparing an original Michelangelo to a photocopy. The photocopy is not worth anything, while the Michelangelo is priceless. Casted a piece like this is only requested by greedy diamond dealers who are only trying to maximize their return. They'll put a $200,000 stone on a casted $200 ring. It's a joke and it's wrong.

It would be interesting to know if jewelers offer to make a custom produced video of the engagement ring being made. It would be a real keepsake. People would pay a lot of money for that. I would. I was fascinated by this video. As a businessman, I see it as an additional profit center. An incremental revenue stream

Thanks for watching and for your comment man. Education is always a good business models and some jewelers would agree to this, but I think that it'll depend on whether or not they want to educate more than rely on their main business model. It's a toss-up.

Just gas butane and oxigen is the same you control the power adding more oxigen and more gas butane and for melting big quantities you can use acetylene and oxigene .

i hate how these videos of people spending hours on something amazing are made into 10 minute videos so that my brain has an unrealistic expectation that i could do something like this in half an hour or so. beautiful ring btw!!!

@@Crmjewelers lol yeah, i know. i dont see how else you could show somebody this without cutting it down a good bit like it is. I just wish my mind wouldn't have these expectations that disappoint me when reality becomes a thing. i dunno why i'd think i could make this anyway, i'm like 14 and have none of these tools, skills, or knowledge.
