The most incredible objects in the Universe - The Power of Neutron Stars
♺ DETAILS

A mysterious neutron star has been caught behaving like two distinct objects -- a radio pulsar and a magnetar -- and could be important to understanding the evolution of these objects.
Like anthropologists piecing together the human family tree, astronomers have found that a misfit "skeleton" of a star may link two different kinds of stellar remains. The mysterious object, called PSR J1119-6127, has been caught behaving like two distinct objects -- a radio pulsar and a magnetar -- and could be important to understanding their evolution. The crazy part about these docs is just listening to them is educational and helps me unwind
Close to the beginning of this video at 1:50 it is stated that "in physics unlike in the realm of interpersonal relationships light always defeats Darkness." From information I learned our universe is headed for a cold death at absolute zero which means entropy has finally finished its work and absolute zero has finally been reached in our universe. But then I learned that absolute zero can never be attained because atoms cannot be stopped from wiggling at least a little. Also, recently great voids of darkness have been seen and that in time we will see mostly darkness in the sky as far away stars keep constantly moving away and/or burning out. That sounds to me that darkness will ultimately defeat light. Of course, who knows for sure as new information is constantly learned as telescopes become better.
"Light always defeats darkness." At least until the heat death of the universe.

Heat death? I thought the universe would start to become colder and colder as all stars burned out, light began to extinguish and all black holes died. Never heard of the universe dying from a great heat event but then again I don’t have a phd in cosmology either 😂

You’re a genius for figuring that out
At about 3 minutes in, talking about the formation of deuterium releasing energy is in error. That reaction requires energy as one of the protons must reverse decay into a neutron while they are close enough to bind together. This very slow reaction is the reason that stars don't just instantly explode. This reaction is sensitive to temperature and pressure and is the cause of the observed inverse relationship between a stars lifetime and mass.

What is a neutron star?
@tonyrobichaud
7 ай бұрын
From my understanding, it is a star that generally fits between small stars like out sun and very large start after they have died from using all contained elements and blow up. Stars stay alive by burning (fusing) elements in their core. This keeps them large and fights against gravity that wants to crush them. When all the elements that it can fuse into large atoms, it will shrink as gravity finally wins. That shrinkage is a far distance and builds lots of momentum when it hits the core, and 3 things can happen. The smaller stars will hit the core made of atoms and bounce back from hitting the electrons into a red giant and cool to a white dwarf, getting darker over time. A larger star after hitting the core of atoms is not stopped by electrons, but by the heavier neutrons in the center core. That is why they are called neutron stars. The really large monster sized stars grow into supernovas and are not stopped by anything as they shrink. They go through the layers of electrons an neutrons and keep going as far as they need to in order to create a black hole. That's the best explanation I can give after reading and viewing a small amount of videos.

@@aracoixo3288Really, a neutron star is a massive star. About the size of a city (several kilometres in diametre, the mass is that of many of our suns. It's essentially a failed black hole. Or a black hole is a failed (larger) neutron star. Neutron stars are dangerous to even go near due to their gravitational and magnetic fields. It would be utterly uninhabitable to live in a solar system such as ours, if we had a neutron star as our sun. 🤷🏻

Speed is a form of vibration and as such is fundamentally only ever able to be measured or challenged by the individual density of the different forms of matter existing in its dimensional plain as dark matter is a void, meaning it can be both turbulent yet peacefully calm in its own aspects as it exsists outside and inside of all vibratiin & matter including all light and non light based frequencies! bless you all 🙏🏾 14:36
@jtaustinmusic
8 ай бұрын
What. Speed is a function of relative velocity based on your frame of reference. Density has nothing to do with perceived speed. You know nothing of dark matter, nor does anyone else. The only "speed" that isn't relative is the speed of light, causality.

Your right but if people know the size of our son you can use it as a reference. There a star that is six billion times bigger then ours. Unbelievable that something is that big.
I just cannot take the AI "narration" in this video, not even halfway through. Furthermore, can the astronomical muckety-mucks PLEASE ,, arrive at a concensus,,, is the MW a large, or a small galaxy? The AI though, I'd rather have a root canal,!!
Can we stop with artificial narrators and mis-information already? This generation fks up everything it touches.
