We live in the era of great space exploration. So far dozens of probes have reached the furthest corners of the Solar System, orbital telescopes are capable of covering practically all of the visible universe. But this is just the start of our journey, as there are thousands of stars and planets waiting for their explorers within just a few dozen light years from us.
And today we’ll set out on an exciting journey to follow the great missions of the past, present and future.

Have you heard of and/or watched: History of the Universe, melodysheep (awesome visuals and music), Isaac Arthur, and/or Spark? They also make great compliments to Space news like: Anton Petrov, Fraser Cain, and Cool Worlds.

In fact, Project Orion, for a nuclear pulse drive, was indeed designed with proof of concept as well :) The nuclear test ban treaty in the early 60's and Kennedy's ignorance killed it. It would have allowed spaceships as big as apartment building to explore the solar system. If I recall correctly, the Apollo astronauts routinely travelled to the moon in 2 DAYS, not several weeks ;)
