Ahoj, Erin. Můj příběh se stal, když jsem před 6 lety navštívil Spojené království se svými přáteli. Všichni jsme viděli něco podivný podél silnice v Essexu. Náš příběh byl uveden v databázi paranormálních jevů Spojeného království. ^^

My husband saw a figure in the middle of the road after coming home from a nightshift in Gretna. It was just getting light and there was a shape of a human with arms stretched out. He slammed on the brakes and drove straight through it and the car went freezing cold. He said it felt like something went straight through the car, but afterwards there was nothing on the road.

Hello pal. I have a wee ghost story for ya. Not quite the A75 but Dalry. There is a double s bend just north of there. So my dad was a joiner/carpenter, Grew up in Glasgow City centre. So one evening, him and his pal driving, 1950s this mind you, on the way home from a job, winter night's, dark and cold, having a laugh and a joke as they did. Hit the double s bend and just as they came out of it, BUMP, a wee lassie right at the side of the road, wee blue dress, red collar, red ribbon in her hair, white socks. The two of them start to panic. Dad say's to his pal right Peter you go and get an ambulance, I'll stay here and help the wee girl. Off goes his pal and my dad starts to look at the woods and brush at the side of the road to locate and help the wee girl. A hour goes by...His pal arrives back, my dad now really in a panic, he say's ffs Peter have ya no got anybody yet? A dunno what to do a cannae find her! His pal join's the search. After a while an ambulance come's, not in a hurry, no lights flashing. My dad say's where have you been we hit a wee girl,.. The ambulance driver stops him mid sentence and say's, Don't worry about it, we get called to this spot a few times every month or so, always the same wee girl, blue dress, red ribbon etc. We have to come cos it's a 999, but we don't bother rushing anymore, she is never here! We Used to hear him telling his pals, but he would never tell us as kids. I was 17 the first time he told it to my face. I did drive the A75 though but nought happened for me. I was in a hurry though I was gettin nagged lol. Ty for the vid

I believe that places, like houses and buildings, can hold memories of past traumatic events, that will awaken and “play back” for the right individuals. Hi Erin, I've heard a few stories about the A75, with some people convinced that there must be a portal to hell close by (???) That whole area was a hotbed for bodysnatching activity, with corpses being transported along the route on stagecoaches going from Dumfries to Edinburgh. Incidentally, William Hare (of Burke and Hare) vanished on that road never to be seen again. Makes ye wonder, eh? 🤔 Nice spooky story for Halloween! 💀🦇🕸🎃

Hello Erin I can remember an experience we had on this road back in the 1980s. We had travelled over from Northern Ireland ,on the ferry, for a family holiday. It was in the early hours when we were on the Kinmount Straight on a July night with not a cloud in the sky and a full moon so it wasn't pitch dark . We had a flat tyre and dad stopped the car at a small stone building with my mum saying this isn't safe as traffic from the ferry will be on the road coming from Cairnryan . We all got out of the car eating crisp sandwiches with the sounds of goats in the background .My sister and I were looking throught the hedges into fields to try and spot goats!!!!

Hi, enjoyed the creepy stories. I am from Scotland and lived in SE England for 30 years. We had a strange experience on the A505 between the town of Hitchin and Luton. we were picking up a friend form the airport. It;s about a 20 minute trip though fields mostly. My wife was driving when we noticed a white saloon car, maybe a Cortina or similar coming up on the outside quite aggressively, the kind of driving that gets your attention because it looks reackless and potentially dangerous, so of course, we ept an eye on the crazy driver that was well over the speed limit and way too close. This went on foe maybe 3 or 4 minutes and then, it was just gone. I mean gone. as if the car had never existed. There was nowhere for it to gon no exits or turn offs, it had not stopped behind us, it was just gone. Gives me a chll to think ab out it now. We;;, thought I woild pass that on, just subbed to the channel. All the very best everyone.

I have never driven down that road in darkness but I enjoyed the story anyway. There are two roads which scare me at night although I can't talk about any particular kind of experience. One is the A66, which crosses the Pennines from Scotch Corner to the M6 and continues through the northern Lake district to Keswick. During the daytime it is a dull procession of lorries, motorhomes and cars with caravans and any paranormal thing would slink back into its cave and wait for darkness to fall. But in winter at night-time it is quite scary if you are on your own in the car and there is nothing else on the road. The sky is completely black and in bad weather all you can see is the side of the road and beyond that ... black. No horizon, and absolutely no sign of life. Until you crest the summit at Stainmore, then after a few miles you can see the odd twinkling of lights from distant villages far below. But the most scary is the A70 in winter, or the bit between the M74 and Muirkirk. After Douglas there are no more villages and hardly any houses for about twenty miles, the road is narrow, winding and quite steep in places and once again in winter there is nothing to look at but the edge of the road and the reflection of your headlights against the mist. Once I was desperate to stop for a comfort break and wondered why the hell I didn't stop at a motorway service station. However desperate I was I couldn't bear to stop on this bit of the road and relieve my discomfort by a field gate. I have just found a book on my bookshelves called Myths and Folk Stories of Britain and Ireland so I think I will dip into that. If I find anything scary I will pass it on.

We have a local haunted road here in IL, USA. You can look up the legend of Munger Road. Munger Road is a mostly straight road that drives through prairie land and forest. There’s a railway that’s crosses perpendicular to it. The railway is on a berm, so to cross it via the road is a steep short hill on either side. Legend has it that due to the pitch of the slope, a school bus got stuck on the tracks and was hit by a train. Now, you can go and park on the tracks. You have to turn the car completely off, in neutral, and wait. The children that died will push your car off the tracks. Folks that have applied baby powder or flour to the bumper and will get handprints on the car, even if the car doesn’t move. It’s very creepy!

I live in a very small town, back at 1940s there wasn´t much here (my grandparents were among the first ppl that built a house around here in early 50s) and there´s a place, a playground to a fairly newer apartment building where I keep seeing this little, sad boy standing by the playground, not playing or anything, just standing there, the first few times I didn´t think much off it, but then I noticed his cloths....he is dressed the same way my grandpa was when he was a child.... I´ve seen this bog for 30 years now, still do....pointed him out to my hubby, but he can´t see him....I don´t find it creepy or anything, I just feel so sorry for the sad boy..... Yeah, this has nothing to do with a road lol but I can see him from the road :)

Is this road a portal meeting of energy lines, a main route for body snatchers ....(which I gather was quite a trade in the C19?)............. other?

Beautycreep 🤔 I found this peculiar, Stephen King has a book titled, If It Bleeds, and in said chapter, which is the same as the title of said book, he writes a bit about Scotland🤯. Ill leave it up to you to investigate further. "The Nemo Me Impune Lacessit Society" Viva Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

you should investigate the overtoun bridge don't bring dogs though cause the reason i'm telling you to investigate the overtoun bridge is because there is apparently a ghost there under the bridge compelling dogs off of the bridge so that they die so no dogs

That's really interesting. I wonder how this phenomenon will progress as dash cameras become more and more common. Will something be captured? Will someone experience something that doesn't show on the camera?

I would never say who I am but I nearly hit a lady with a shawl on with my motor cycle. I dropped it into second and shot off towards Annan at 90 plus. It happened at the gates to Kinmount house.
