I’ve gotten so much better at this game because of You. I’ve been playing all weekend and never would imagine sinking at least 2 ships a game. My win percentage has shot up as well. I was at about 28% win rate a year ago… I’m at 49% now

Yeah I picked it up a few days ago and I completely stink in it. I think I’m trying to play it like a regular DD. I need to go ballz to the wall instead.

Lucked out on GXP in containers over the past few months and accumulated points faster than expected. Long time viewer, and this video convinced me to pull the trigger on the Paolo (Atago was the other contender). Played an AI match this morning to see what it was like. Fun enough. Jumped into a Standard domination match this evening on North and netted a High Caliber, Devastating Strike (x3), a Double Strike and of course, the coveted Kraken. Haven’t laughed that loud while playing before. It was a blast and everything about the ship felt right. For whatever reason I’d always been hung up on the reload speeds, but that didn’t matter. Thanks for your hard work on these videos - it’s appreciated!

Might just make this my next GXP ship, I have a surprising lack of T7 DDs and this seems like a good mix of fun and functionality

YOLO is such a perfect DD. Extremely fast with really good torpedos, awesome HP, surprisingly good armor, good guns with really good trajectory, and rolling smoke. All its missing is a sonar and honestly good captains can play around that. If you enjoy DD play YOLO may be the most fun DD in the game because it can do anything.

The newly Nerfed Kleber was a now very similar to this ship. Just better concealment and reload booster, but no smoke. And worse health lol

Just got the Yolo Emilio. Oh. My. God. Love at first sight. This ship is a wrecking ball. And so much fun. Thanks Tbull for recommending and showing it. Would have never gotten it without such a video.

Obviously suits an aggressive play style but, only if the captain still knows his stuff. Its the thinking man's YOLO boat

Was saving up global xp to get the Massachusetts but your recent videos showcasing this ship made me want to get this one instead

Been looking at this DD for awhile, so thanks for the video. Just finished a barn burner on Neighbors - Domination with the Tier IV Kamikaze. Blue only had 75 points to around 600 for Red after I had captured C... Red had captured A and B was unclaimed. The black hole had claimed 4 Blue BB in the middle of the map in front of B. By the time got to B, only 2 Blue were left so off to capture A. Red then took C and now trying B. Back to B, knocked off Red BB and on to C. Blue BB goes down getting a Kracken and time is ticking down...Red BB leaves C after torp hit and recapture C for the win 480 to 472 as time expired. 4 solo base captures, 5 defended, 10 torpedo hits and 2 destroyed with Nevada a Kracken. At 4 minutes left Red had Oklahoma, Nevada, Giulio Cesare, Omaha, Farragut and T-22. Nightflight81 destroyed Giulio, Omaha, Farragut and I took out T-22 and Oklahoma. Incredible to watch the background points climb and pass Red within the last 30 seconds or so to play...for the WIN! Looking forward to the Paolo Emilio being just as exciting. Had to screen shot...amazing

Not even done watching, but the new sound effect is great. Drunken Tarzan? not sure. Ok, gg love my Poalo.

DD's are primarily what I play. I'll have to take a 2nd look at this ship now. I never use sims as an inspiration though. Bey is a staple for DD's, but depending on whether it's a gunboat, or torpedo boat dictates my other inspirations.

Let's just say for the sake of argument you have a DD with 20k health, and your Sims adds 2k to that ship. That's a 10% increase to the ship's health. Then compare to any other inspiration you're running. If it's the usual 3-5% boost, then ask yourself how the health boost inst the clear winner

I run the Paolo with a full gun build. I really enjoy it that way.

I got this ship as my 1st gxp ship haven't been using it I'll upgrade it and then use it (concealment and etc)

@Tbull would Albert Gleaves work with Bey, giving extra torp range?

Opening play in the Paolo Emilio is key, and can lead it huge game impact. Torpedoes do hit like a truck and make this part of why such a fun ship to play. Great for stalking radar cruisers and shutting them down. Too band torpedoes have such a limited range, given the concealment limitations and could easily have been 7 km without making it out of balance. BB players will not like this DD ... Hands down fun ship that lives up to its billing.

I sold that ship not knowing it had working rolling smoke, thought it was garbage, now im a bit pissed. Lol

I believe it is possible to contact wargaming to get the ship back once you sell it, I am personally not sure exactly how but once per year you can do it, I have seen many posts on the Reddit page of people doing It to get it back, its bought back in silver btw.

Sitting on 1.1 m GXP and I’m so tempted to buy this ship but idk I want to have 2 mil before I save up 750k for the next tier 7 ship in case they drop another legendary gxp ship that’s not the Stalingrad. Lol

Got 750k of the green. I just know that when i spend it on yolo or atago, then nelson is announced to come back next month in the shop.

I spent mine on Atago. Gravely disappointed, Unless you can build a Hipper style agile build with commanders like Azur Lane Baltimore, I would patch it. Wish I'd spent the XP on Tirpitz.

The Nelson is good, but when in battle with t7 or CVs it's going to be a short battle.

I was saving for this and then they announced the Stalingrad for gxp. So I have 1.3M gxp and no ships.

Which one is better, Paolo or Le Terrible? 🤔

If I am not mistaken they are the highest damage torps in the game. (haha, stinking autocorrect)
