Odin really shines in 1v1 brawls: -strong armor and likes to ricochet BB shells -thanks to Odin’s good maneuverability you can stay at a good angle for a lot of times. -really good firing angles -fast main battery reload speed -hydro -torpedoes at the back of the ship (they almoust never get knocked out) -pretty good secondary guns 128mm & 150mm guns, they get the job done (I prefer 128mm guns over 105mm guns, Bismarck can use 4x2 105mm & 3x2 150mm guns for one side of the ship vs. Odin 3x2 128mm & 2x3 150mm. Doesn’t really sound that bad in comparison). I would pick Odin over any other German BB for the brawls…

I got the Friesland after watching this video months ago and I was not disappointed in the slightest bit, I’ve now come back months later to get my second GXP ship. Thank you

The Friesland has intrigued me. Just hope I have the right commanders and inspirations for the ship. I do not have those special commanders like Mordoff or Azure Lane yet.

Great video, Derka. Excellent editing. It must have taken a while! For brand new players, get yourself one of the T4's right off the bat to help you with the weekly premium missions, earning you valuable promotion orders and to earn some extra credits while you learn the game. Then get yourself the Atlanta. A great little credit earner. I love Benham with Gleaves as a torp boat but that playstyle is not for newbies. Then go from there. But don't go straight for a T7. You're not gonna do well or have fun.

I’ve been loving the Azuma, i’m a very mediocre player yet more often then not I find it easy to stand toe to toe with battleships especially ones with fat superstructures like Bismarck.

I'm at 410k gxp and hoping this is all still relevant by the time i get my first gxp ship. I find myself torn between friesland and Massachusetts. I love American bb's. On the other hand my only premiums above t5 are t6 dd's (asashio b, z39, and fr25) and I'm so sick of torp boats that get ruined by carriers. Friesland seems like a lot of fun.

You mentioned lower tiers full of new players. It's only full of new players at certain high population times. All other times it's full of players with 1000s of battles and 100s or 1000s on certain low tier ships. For instance when the Russian players start to get on ( about 5am UK time) they pack the low tiers and most know what they're doing and seem to have elite crews and godlike rng, as iv found out to my cost when deciding to play the weekly premium low tier missions . I lost 6 in a row this morning and finished between 1st and 3rd on my team in every game, mostly 1st or 2nd. Imo the lower tiers in legends have the same issues as every other WG game with good players playing at lower tiers for various reasons. Anyway great video happy new year 🎉 ✌️

Interesting, guess time of day could make a difference. Just recalling playing T3 when I was making my begginer guide video. It was a slaughter, and even with bangers, XP and credit earnings were not worth my 15 minutes

@@DerkaGames I'm not sure about tiers 2 and3 as I play those missions ai. I was mainly talking about tier 4 and 5 . I didn't think anyone would bother playing tiers 2 and 3 unless they didnt have the XP.

My first gxp pick was azuma, it’s really good ship. U can burn or citadel almost everything. My second pick was paolo Emilio just for fun and soon I’ll get suzuya. Sometimes I play with friend acoount he has Alabama and Roma, also great ships. Great video

I got the Kutuzov as my last ship and it might just be the fact that I only have standard commanders but it seems mediocre in this meta. I will say, I am eagerly saving for a Friesland and cant wait to strike fear into every other gunboat lol. It is the only ship I fear when I am in my USN Gunboats. Other than maybe Loyang and Ostergatlund but both are easily outplayed. Friesland can be tricky to get away from

I prefer tires 5 & 6 to grind for any/all credits & xp. The silver expense "fee" at the end of matches is higher at higher tiers.

have a screen shot of a hindenburg game a few years back. I had 6k base xp, 8 kills, 330k dmg and many defence and caps.

Another good video. Overall I agree with the list. Interesting that you feel mogami is better than atago as most tend to think the opposite and love the stealth of atago when its used as a flanker/harasser. I do like the no tech tree equivalent ships. That is what hurts eugen and I had it until I ground to hipper. Now it collects dust.

@@DerkaGames Just finished the grind through it as I expect ibuki will be needed for the Zao project. It took a while but i got better with it but still struggled with it some. I often set them up as a concealment kiting harassing build as they tend to do well with it. A bob and weave mentality.

I know it’s still not meta but I use odin with the commander brawler skill and paolo di rivel, and with the new epic mods I can bump up the reload to match some cruisers, so if everyone’s bowtanking I can just be a glorified he spammer

@DerkaGames the Mogami in not an Takao class cruiser while the Atago is. Comparing These two ships side by side is a lidle hard.

Ever since I saw Friesland it was instantly something I am saving up for, to bad it doesn't have torps or the rocket things on the front of the ship don't add to aa or secondary damage. maybe that will change when I get enough gxp to get the ship. All that aside I agree with your ratings of gxp ships great video keep it up!

ships which you got for gxp disappears after you buy them, unless you got that ship from campaign it won't be shown in the store

I have monarch I used to love it.i had my best was 6 kills 257k 3800xp but it's not as accurate and slown turrets and only 15 inch guns and Meh dispersion. But monarch has great heals

Champagne is a fun little sniper.

My experience hasn't been the same lol but to each their own 😄

Need a tier V DD that can be bought with global xp. I already have plenty of tier six and seven and eights are readily available via campaigns.

When we say save your xp for higher tiers, don't just buy it and play it, you will get deleted if you do that, experience in higher tiers is much different down 3 or 4 tiers down

What about the Hayate? It will return with global xp now.

My hearts set on the Friesland, but if Belfast 43 gets put in the shop before I have the 750k, that may change.

Equilibrium of Power is the legends version of that skill, it improves the penetration of your HE rounds in exchange for half the fire chance and a bit of the damage. IFHE is the abbreviation of the name for the corresponding skill on PC (inertia fused high explosive)

i'm quite suprised you rank Roma so high. i might give it a try again. i disagree for Kutosov - maybe only cause of HE pen buff ... for Odin i must say, she might have a smaller HP and weak heal pool but in total she's quite tanky compared to Bismarck e.g.. just a hhumble opinion from an average joe. thank you ❤

Is there a better premium ship than republique? it’s going for 1.4mil gxp and seems solid but I do have a few other gxp ships I want to get and for tier 8 all I want is a good battle ship. If there is a better tier 8 premium pls do tell

Ohh that's a tough one, but yeah prolly so. Depends on your goals, if your wanting a credit earner, Atlanta will probably be better. But if you're wanting arguably one of the best T7 BBs, then Massa

I changed my mind when I remembered that with the introduction of tier 8 they gave tier 7 the same service cost as tier 6. So I'll still be able to make a lot of credits with the massa. I think I'm definitely going to go for masa though

I want nothing more than to get Prinz Eugen but they still want me to spent around $100 to get it. I hope they change all of those original tier Vll ships prices and change them to 17,500 gold like the new tier VII ships are.

Odin is my Kraken-printing BB at tier 7. It's BY FAR the most versatile ship on this list. But it has to be played aggressively.

@@QurikyBark32919 yeah, if you bought it for gxp and then sold it you can't obtain it again for gxp. You can use WG customer support once a year to buy back premium ships you sold (for double the selling price in silver) but the gxp offer doesn't come back
