I going to have to watch this video 2--3 times. You have a nice real estate channel and vibrant affection for homes. I am a California lifer. I would need a new built home with large rooms and storage spaces. New because I know what is involved with upgrade and maintenance of older homes--I have done that work with my own labor. A house built for a man. Ceilings would have to be 10' or 12' high. Land would have to be 2--10 acres, peaceful and natural setting with large trees and green lawns. There would have to be a lap pool for swimming and road bike lanes for cycling that are safe. I've ridden bicycles on city streets in LA for 35 years and I'm done with that. I could still do it, I just don't want to. I like the outdoors, pools, bikes, and parks. The house would not need bowling alleys and shooting ranges but would have to highly traditional functional and tailored for a man. I have visited Amarillo more than 20 years ago, not really impressed, not unimpressed, but saw the Cadillac Ranch. Born in Arlington, TX, and definitely liked East Texas passing through, one city was Tyler. Don't want to be in urban bustle like living in the city, but want to access to high quality standard living amenities and space, maybe they call it semi--rural. If I was ready to leave California, I would contact you for you to share your insights and get the maximum value for my dollars without putting me into a lifetime of debt. I would want to stretch my dollars as far as they could stretch or tore apart. You have an excellent channel. I do appreciate it. Definitely a supporter and subscriber. Shalawam.

The house prices are mighty eye catching. However I'm noticing that the hourly pay is extremely low. I've looked into moving from the DFW area to Lubbock, but I'm now back on the fence due to the huge pay decrease.

Don't even think about moving here if you don't want to waste away your life into oblivion boredom and depression. Lubbock maybe cheap but still a high price to pay for boredom.

I think the pictures you're showing are properties of Vintage Township not oakmount estate, such as the open spaces and the homes. Vintage Township is unique for both the houses and also a large amount of greenery and trees. You will drive down streets that are lined with mature trees giving you some shade from the hot sun. In addition they have a community pool and during Christmas, Founder's Park will have a massive tree with lights and music.
