The Most Effective System vs a Staller
Спорт
A stalling opponent can be one of the most frustrating things in Jiu-Jitsu and is often more annoying to deal with than a highly skilled one.
One of the most effective systems for dealing with a stalling opponent is demonstrated in today's video by world-class black belt Sebastian Serpa.
Sebastian won 1st Place at IBJJF World's in 2021 at brown belt.

@@MichaelStoller84 whelp. you just made my night. Thanks for this. I love the part where you are keeping track of your bite victims. Really gamifies the act. Like who has the bitting high score? is it hundreds or thousands? I have so many questions.

Yeah Serpa’s game is sick!!
Bravo. This is exactly where I’ve been struggling. Thank you
Something I learned when gripping both sleeves (double sleeve) is to not fight when your opponent tries to yank or pull off your grip. Go in the same direction they pull away. Your fingers will thank you.
Great video. The holding of the arm in the triangle position is nice.

Yeah I think the comp collage at end helps a lot for adding in context
This is great. I'm following Sebastian now. He's a ninja. I'd love to see a breakdown of his favourite k guard attacks. I've seen a clip on his Instagram, but it's too quick for my fragile brain.

great video, awesome technique. The only problem is I feel like most people that know anything won't play on their knees when ur playing double sleeve/spider. id love a breakdown of these concepts vs standing opponents

Most people in lighter weights stand, but it’s really easy to get under and attack then, this system is specifically for when people lock down to stall. Which actually a lot do. I’ll do a video on attacking standing soon I have done a couple I’m the past

In my weight division (195lbs) people are stalling all day long when you get to spider lasso guard. They just sit and wait for you to try and triangle or omoplata them so that they can attempt to pass your guard.
10:00 Damn, on a first date?! lol

Why do you un-lasso for the triangle instead of releasing the grip and punching leg through? 2:33
Do you think you can shoot for belly down armbar if he retrieves his leg from single X at 6:12 ? (awesome, thanks)

@@JonThomasBJJ By the way, I know you're not exactly the most unbiased person to ask, but how's the durability on the Vital gis? Overall quality?
Where is your home school if im ever in town i know where im gonna drop in
or you could just ban him from your gym permanently, then you'll never have to pass his stupid guard ever again, then you win
