The Most Disrespectful Shot In NBA History
Спорт
Today we're going to be talking about Steph Curry's look away shot. He first pulled off the iconic shot during his breakout season in the 2013 nba playoffs, in a game against the Denver Nuggets. After which he started to do this more and more, which has led some fans to believe the look away shot is one of the greatest shots of all time. 5:53 "i never felt a shot better than that" Meaning Curry unlocked the next level of shooting.
I think it's especially impactful when Curry does it because he isn't a showboater. Everyone knows he's hardworking af and that his display of confidence isn't without results. If it was someone else doing it and the ball went in most fans would be like "meh he was lucky". But when Curry does it everyone's like "god damn he's really that good." He's just special.

Tf you on? Yes he has tremendous work ethic but you can have work ethic and still be a showboater. It’s showboating BUT there’s nothing wrong with that - banter makes sports fun.

Curry staring down trey after a half court bomb is still the funniest thing
him pointing is the coldest one. Then the time he stared down trae young and giannis at the all star game while they watched to see if the shot would go in lmao
Lol up till this moment, I never realized he had missed a couple turn around shots
Stephen Curry single handedly made me fall in love with basketball again. I come from a family of basketballers. My sister played national 24 years ago

If you needed Curry to fall in love with the game you never really loved the game. tf
This is def up there. My fav would be the one against the bulls, where after shooting the ball, steph turns to a fan, kinda points at him while the ball was still in midair. I mean come on...the kind of confidence it takes to do that is just outrageous.

Predicting the evolution of the look away for Steph. It will be the look away combined with the Night Night simultaneously before the shot goes in. Aka, the most disrespectful celebration in sports history.
Steph's look away shots is a testament of how skilled he is

I think it helps that it's just him running back, it's not really a celebration so when he makes it he looks like a god but when he misses it looks like he was just running back, he doesn't look super coyly then gets shown up he just going back on defense.
Do you remember Bogut's lookaway assist 3? He batted a pass to Curry, and immediately ran back on defense while celebrating... Before Curry even shot the 3 ball...

What a Christmas present! Thank you very much Mr. Dworth.I will never forget the 2013-2016 years the same as I will never forget 2022 championship. I never thought anything would touch the 2015 ring in terms of what it meant to me as a fan until we won this last year and honestly... I think this most recent one means even more to me now. But I'll never forget going to all those games while we had no chance and then bringing it home. That 2015 parade was insanely fun and a moment I'll never forget... I know I got off topic from the video but it brought back so many incredible memories & I thank you for that.
Wow. I’ve watched a lot of your other videos and always enjoyed them. But this is something different. This is something special. It has the quality of The Last Dance documentary. Comprehensive, emotional, great score, pacing, editing. The whole package. Congrats on the amazing movie. I really enjoyed it. As much as any video on KZread. Way to go. I can’t wait to see what’s up next.
I looove to watch Steph play. He's not just a great shooter, has excellent basketball IQ, he's very entertaining. Thanks for your son Mr and Mrs. Curry. We love him!

This deserved a video up to the celebration itself. Not trivial. I think you nailed it. Cheers
excellent angle, great video my dude!
8:18 Smart wanted to jump over Draymond to try to block Steph.🤣
That night night celebration made it across the globe. Ousmane Dembele did it after scoring a goal for FC Barcelona
Love this!
Good video dawg 👏
Amazing. You just earned a new sub
Dude just has the athletic ability to make those shots . People say he''s not athletic because he doesn't have a 40" + vert ? I think there are a whole bunch of high flyers that would give up that gift for the ability to shoot like him
The look away and the GP3 head scratch are the best celly’s in the history of basketball
Never notice that small but crazy detail, makes me respect his game much more 🍻
Steph doing the look-away + night-night together would be the ultimate disrespect

Sorry, that's Larry The Legend Bird.
Bro if he does this and mix it with the night night celebration... That would be the most disrespectful celebration hands down to that for sure!
Great video super cool
Curry is of their ilk. A mere mortal in stature who slays giants from a distance. And the trademark of his greatness, the autograph authenticating his legend, is his look-away 3. Nothing trumpets his unique brilliance like being so sure a long-distance shot is going in that he doesn’t even see it go in. He stamps his mastery of basketball’s most pivotal act by declaring the absence of doubt when he shoots. - The Athletic
Loved it
SC is this generations MJ. His game is so good that he's literally changed the game. Defense before was inside out now it's outside in.
Curry is on another level but for me best celebration was the "bye bye" from Dame after hitting a 3 clutch :D
steph’s look away 3 and Carmelo’s 3 to the dome will forever be the best 3 point celebration. even Galo had a pretty good 3 point celly
One of the best was when he turned to the crowd during the all star game and asked the fans in the front row if he made it 😂 savagery
Earned a sub
GOOOOOD VID
Now they need Curry to shoot it and the entire team immediately runs back without looking.
The cheff 🏀🔥
Slow it down 6:03 and watch the guy's head on the bench. Even in .25 slow-mo his head instantly snaps at Curry. Pretty funny. Especially cause you see him mouthing words as Curry was shooting.
idk but I REALLY DON'T KNOW HE HAS FAILED NO LOOK SHOTS 😅🙄 HAHAHA OMG STEPHEN. 🙌🙌 GREAT VIDEO TOO. 👏👏👏
He's so good that people are actually surprised and shocked when he misses. When he let that ball go we all expect it to go in.
Always forgot Steph didn't start out in Under Armour 😅
Just Magical
Nice vid.
I'll never forget Bogut sprinting down the court before Curry even shot the ball *EDIT* Just rewatched the play... Bruh Bogut ran back on defense before Curry even got SET. 🐐 🐐 🐐 Shit jeez *2ND EDIT* Just watched again more closely and Bogut ran back *as soon as he passes it to Curry* bruh this the ball didnt even reach its Destination yet Bogut already knew it was Final 😏
Stephon vindaloo was a different breed
Great video! But I think I wouldn’t say this was the birth of it. Rex Chapman did it to MJ in 96.
There's a preseason one where he's high-fiving Iguodala a full second before the shot goes in
Loved the Bautista bat flip. Shit was gangster
You can also see that when he does it and miss it ovten leads to a rebound for the opposing team... So if it goes in that's confidence at it's peak cause he doesn't even need to watch his shot fall inside of the basket but if it doesn't go in that's just because he is already backind down to defend Simply genius
A monster!!!
The staredown on Trae Young while the ball was still in the air was cold blooded.
man i was ahead of my time..... was doing this in 09.
It tickles me every time I hear “Stefon” curry because of flightreacts calling him that in nba 2k14 😭
Honestly, Curry has put up so many 3's he could probably do it blindfolded. If his stroke is on, he knows when a shot is going in. And when he does it and misses, just chalk that up as he was getting back on defense.
I have no idea
That last one against the bulls where he turned and pointed at a fan… that’s fucxin dirty! GOAT
3:13 Is that a clutch playoff shot? What is this propaganda
Iconic.
Last year's all star, steph curry imprinted himself in the mind of every NBA player and coming players into the league that he is the best 3 point shooter ever. And because of that they won last year
Look away 3 gotta be the best celebration cuz if u make it u look like a badass and if u miss it ur back on D right away
Before the body hits the floor!
Cuz he the GOAT
The Kemba and Nick Young celebrations are weird because they see it clearly hits rim.
Didn't he say on jj podcast that he get into a flow that allows to just pull off that no look shot?
O love Steph ❤❤❤ Warriors team❤❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
If Arenas didn’t get into trouble, he would have been Curry before Curry
@8:58 I wanna see the warriors win 10 in a row at least.
🔥🔥🔥
@doubleDworth - This is what we refer to as the movie shot. Think of any great action hero (and some villains), just fought a tough fight, then blows up their enemy. They don't stop to see if their explosion was successful, they walk away, with the camera angle showing our hero, and the explosion taking place AFTER they've turned away. Here's some examples for you :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/aGlrp9mhXcmukbA.html
imagine if he look away after that shot against OKC
Stefon Curry 😭😭
i think the last one is the best when he point his finger to the other bench 😏
go stephaannnn
The ones where he turns to the other team's bench, or just turns away when there's still time on the clock are much better. This was a buzzer beater, there wasn't going to be a rebound and a second chance to score, so it's not a big deal that he turned and ran away
Steph Curry, you are the Bruce Lee of basketball.
He is the greatest show on Earth
And now he do the look away even when his teammate do the shot
It's the midorima shot. That's how confident you are that you don't miss
It’s the fact he ask people if it went in😂 imagine telling Steph “yea bro u made it”😂😂
Did this in a 1 on 1 but man I would never in an actual game
i've never seen anybody does this only steph does this
the best celbration no look three
When you think about it Klay can’t even do the look away 😮
4:51 what’s this…aroma? 😂
Steph's no look is PEAK CONFIDENCE
The day when Steph retires will be a sad day for basketball.
Larry bird winning 3 pt contest with the finger in the air as the ball is still in the air …. 🐐
To quote Major League, it's because "he's got marbles."
I don’t even look away when I shoot layups 😂
The best shot celebration is the Lister Blister by Shawn Kemp. It's not really close.
