Steph Curry is not the greatest shooter of all time, he's a product of terrible basketball strategy and advanced statistics! Lots of great 3p shooters could've been talked about as the greatest of shooter of all time if they were jacking up 801, 810, 886 threes in a season! In 2021 Curry only played 63 games and took 801 threes and missed 464 of them!!! That's terrible shooting and it just goes to show you that this current NBA is nothing but smoke and mirrors and manipulated stats. Bird only took 1,727 threes his entire career while Curry has already taken 6,540 threes! The NBA is selling you hype

Steph Curry is my favourite player and as a huge Curry's fan, Jokic deserved that MVP more than everyone other. If you watched him whole season, than you know. Curry was the most insanee player that season, he did some of the craziest things ever, but Jokic was the most consistent than everyone and only played 33 minutes per game this season, if he played more minutes, he would has more triple doubles and he would average more points and assists. Anyway, Curry's first 2 games weren't good, je was bad in thsoe 2 games and before april and after april he wasn't soo consistent and that's why his efficiency are below 49% shooting, while Jokic start to play exellent from first game to the last game, he played whole season great. Most double-doubles by far this season, second most player with triple doubles, he was in top 5 players with most points, in top 3 players with most rebounds, in top 2 players with most assists I think or maybe even he had more assists than everyone, and also he was in top 5 players with most steals soo, Jokic as a center had chance to average this season 50/40/90, most of the time he shot over 40% from 3 point range, but last 7 games he didn't shot soo well and that's why he finished this season with over 38% from deep which is also insanee for center. He also averaged 87% from free throw line soo definitely there wasn't more complete player than Jokic this season.

I'm from Charlotte and lived 15 minutes from his high school. In fact, his wife, Aiesha (idk how to spell her name), went to my high school and was a year below me I think. We had weightlifting together twice i wanna say. She wasn't regarded as popular whatsoever or even necessarily pretty. Granted, my high school was fairly affluent and there were a TON of VERY pretty girls because the men had their trophy wives so a lot of them got the "pretty" gene. I'm not trying to weirdly flex or anything, I'm just giving background. I found out a few years ago that Aiesha and Steph had been childhood friends. ANYWAYS, I didn't know they even knew each other until a few years after they got married and someone told me about it and who she was because I'd forgotten about her, BUT I watched Steph in high school once or twice and didn't think much of him enough to even specifically remember him, but followed him quite closely at Davidson, which is like 45 minutes north of Charlotte, but they went to the sweet 16 that one year and I'm an NC State fan and I believe it was his Sophomore year that they made the sweet 16 run, but during one year he was at Davidson, they were ranked in the top 20 and they beat us by 5, with Curry hitting the a clutch 3 at the end and basically winning the entire game. I remember the game specifically because he was so dominate and because even LeBron was at the game!

I've come to consider Curry's 8 missed games one of the biggest "what ifs" of recent NBA history. Assuming he wasn't injured, can the Warriors have stay at the 5/6th seed, and in turn made the play-offs? If the Warriors avoid the play-in, are the Warriors considered good enough for Curry to win his third MVP? And considering that he still won the scoring title despite missing 8 games, what does his average look like if he plays those games?

I don’t think you emphasized enough how different defenses played him in 2021 than any of his previous seasons. He was getting consistently doubled every night and tripled on nights he was popping off. There has never been this much attention to one player on an nba court ever since his range requires defenders to stay locked in on him 30+ feet out. And paired with the fact on how much golden state lacked shooting talent wise causing spacing issues, it’s remarkable he was able to pull off what he did. This was even better than his 2016 imo

Im still not sure how he wasn't the MVP for the 20-21 season!?!? I get he missed some games but he was absolutely lights out in April!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 He single handedly lead Golden State to the play- in and without him they probably 2nd worst or even worst team in league for 2nd straight year. That's my definition for MVP and if anyone else has done what he did, I'd also say that that guy should be MVP. So wtf is the criteria?!?! You're right we will never see something like that again!

Superb analysis bro you earned a sub from me!! As a curry fan myself since he came into the league (being a skinny hooper myself he was a HUGE inspiration to all us skinny ballers, i mean come on he averaged 25 ppg his senior season at Davidson), I have been telling folks that Steph is by far the greatest offensive threat that this generation has ever seen and he proved that with his 2020-21 season. Watching those game i felt like i was watching something inhuman, it really looked like whatever shot Steph put up it was going in 7 games with 10 or more threes averaging 38 for AN ENTIRE MONTH MY BIRTHDAY MONTH. All this while shooting well above 50/40.90 and standing at 6;3 185 with defenses draped over him FUCKING legendary, oh and he won the chip the year after , thanks bro i needed this.

To be fair usually the MVP is either the number 1 seed or 2 seed so it’s cool had Curry not gotten hurt for that 10 game or so span then he probably would have because at the pace his was on they would’ve been around the 4 seed without that injury he went 37-26 but the problem is in the 10 games he didn’t play the warriors went 2-10 so you’re talking about damn near a 50 win pace with him compared to losing like 85% of your games without him and if he doesn’t miss any games assuming they win at the same clip that Curry was winning at then they end somewhere around the 4 seed with that garbage ass roster lol
