I have seen many Zomato, swiggy delivery boys riding very rashly. I used to wonder about their life. Very nicely put forward by you. I also believe that using such apps somewhere plays with our patience level too. We, in a long run, want everything in minutes.

There's no time constraint on the delivery agent of Zomato & Swiggy... All shops are within 10-15 km, they can take their time. Even the estimated time of arrival is not shown to the agent, only the customer can see it.

I am sorry sir..I have fracture of my knee and am sitting at home..with nobody to fetch groceries for me..I am grateful to these apps and I am thankful that I live in a city where such services are available..plus there is an aunty living alone in my neighborhood,her daughter orders groceries for her conveniently from her home far away because of such apps..plus I can order groceries even at early hours or late hours if required as most of local shops don't send delivery boy so early..also I get to choose from so many options which I don't get at local stores.. everything has its advantages and disadvantages.

Sir ek aur point hai:- Koi to instant delivery ka app tha, uspar peas(matar) ₹200/Kg tha aur local vendor ke paas whi ₹60/Kg tha. Isse ek imbalance bhi to ho rha hai. Aap sabhi metro cities walo ke ye lagega ke kitni mahengai hai. Mai farmer family se hun, farmers se matar ₹20/Kg khareeda jata hai. Isliye sabhi se request hai ke apne local vendors purchase karey jab koi utter need wali situation na ho. Aap ke paise bachenge, vendor ki bhi kamai hogi, usko farmer bhi easily sell kar pata hai. Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Jai Hind 🇮🇳🙏 Jai

Nukkad wala dukan ka alag hi atitude hai.. acha hai mere jaise Introvert people k liye.

Reliance jio is helping/exploiting on the 3rd point. Exploiting is more appropriate a word for what it does but when everything is moving towards delivery based, no one really has any choice. So in the end, what Reliance is doing is in the interest of local stores.

This delivery apps don't own a large lush farm or granary , they also take it from some sort of local store and deliver it to you...... So 3rd point is somewhat meaningless

Usually, they may not have the one you're using too & will try to force another one, instead. It is still awkward in India. And when it comes to PCOS, 1 in 4 women have it. And, that needs a better lifestyle for life to stay alive & healthy. Same for old people - Diabetes, BP But you don't find UNPROCESSED food/veggies/ sugar free stuff in a kirana - sugar free juices, maida less biscuits, Non refined whole healthy oils. Common thing you find in kirana is all refined stuff. That leads to all these health problems

First of all, there is no 10 min grocery delivery apps in the US. India is far ahead in this field. Secondly, delivery executives are not penalized for missing 30min delivery time. However I agree with you that 10 min delivery should be extended to medicine delivery as well.

There's a kirana literally under my building. We order a LOT from these apps. You "think" any company's business model is "rash driving" as USP??? 🤣 I'm a Marketing MBA 🏅, 2nd in University. Then Exec MBA XLRI Their warehouses are closeby. Do some research. How many times have you tried to order on 2 hour grocery delivery & they put you on next day, next to next day? And then how would you sleep with mosquitoes? Ever noticed the recent huge delivery supply gap in Mumbai when every grocery app glitched! took DAYS to deliver even in 2hour/next day delivery models? Wondered how it feels when urgent necessities NEVER come to old seniors? You want old parents, senior citizens to NOT have sugar free icecream? Our kirana is huge. But he only has sugar icecream. Sugar, maida biscuits. So, you want our girls with (1 in 4 🇮🇳 has PCOD), our diabetic senior citizens to die, make their health worse? It's been 4 months. Our kirana has not restocked kitchen cloth. I keep asking! You "think" he has unprocessed real cheese for a healthy life? 🤣 So, think every city is safe for women at night? Even in the safest city, a man grabbed my hand at midnight. You THINK medicine gets delivered in minutes? Where? But then how can an old woman DARE to have fruit bread/ any craving after her kirana shut down? How? She can't step out. Maybe her arthritis. Maybe something called Covid? Or maybe that's the only app that DOES deliver her medicine in minutes. Be born a woman, then you'd know! As a family, we don't take credit from poor kirana walas. Our kirana wala doesn't take credit cards. Only cash/UPI. In most small cities it's only cash! Who will go to ATM to get cash for old people? You? But I personally, don't mind using my credit card (as big banks, corporations are paying). I always pay in time. Never a rupee extra. Ever managed a household on pension? Why splurge on cash, when you can take credit with dignity & you don't have to feel ashamed in front of a kiranawala? You'd never know saving money. Even in emergency 15 min delivery, most of the time there's a discount. Show me a kirana store that gives discounts on MRP. No one. People get Hangry when their prepared food isn't coming. Swiggy/Zomato. Starving. But here, people are patient, never complain for delays. Sometimes 15 min is 1 hour also. But, atleast it's coming! Ever ordered on 2hour grocery, & checking out, & it throws you off to next day, no slots available? How do you sleep with mosquitoes then? Noticed the Mumbai delivery glitch where NO GROCERY app had slots for days? Who do you think delivered then? These apps!! The grocery delivery apps are actually a necessity these days. As you mentioned, there are actually stores nearby that aren't even properly stocked and hence these delivery apps are very helpful. But there's no emergency for groceries. There won't be any damage to someone's health if the groceries came in 2 hours instead of one. This is definitely not applicable to medicines and sanitary napkins that are actually essential and often required immediately. These should be definitely used. But, many times the warehouses are not really nearby and the delivery men of these business models suffer. Though that's not the case always, but it is actually more often than not. I've myself came accross people that were in so hurry that they wouldn't even spare a minute to drink water just because they can't be late to deliver groceries. I'm not saying that these services are completely useless but we should be a little more mindful and avoid using the 10 minute service just to get groceries unless it's really required or necessary

@@blessedmess2434 Somebody said Zomato CEO had clarified warehouses are 1km away. I didn't know Zomato also delivers. I get from BLINKIT. And I'd checked with them, they said it's 2km away. Another app literally shows which ones they're selecting for you. 2km away. And, sometimes you do die. If you ever run out of mosquito agarbatti. Or the last few you'd breaks off. Sanitary napkins: They come unannounced. Old people have wants that MUST be fulfilled. If my old parents want diabetic friendly ice cream. It's emergency. And they're getting it. Ain't no one's dying. They don't even show delivery time to the delivery partner. And, We all understand 10 min is so fast. No one complains. Sometimes they deliver in an hour 🤣

Not sure about other apps, but in Zomato's case the delivery person is not aware whether it's a 10 min delivery or not. So no chance of risky rush in traffic.

Not so sure about other states but in WB zomato is much faster than swiggy. a swiggy delivery partner makes a ride of 6km distance to deliver an order(bicycle).can be shorter but not for to many. Zomato makes it a little bit shorter (4km).

True but the problem I didn't understand any word 😔

Differences: • Domino's can be far from your home. These grocery apps accept orders only within like 3km range. • Domino's said free food if delayed. These grocery apps don't guarantee anything like that. So no need to be overly worried for the driver • Domino's gets orders even after removing the policy. But if we don't use these grocery apps, are we not going against their revenue stream?

Same with Zomato saying x minutes or free. Imagine the pressure on the delivery boys - its insane. Whats the need for that? The whole culture of zomato is such. Treat your delivery people like human beings you knuckleheads, they are not machines

When they announced the launch within a few hours the transport department tweeted to stop the service as the delivery boy will be radhly driving......... they had to roll it back instantly

Well in the beginning I had the same impression but the reality is something completely different. These companies only deliver to places within 1.9 kms. I have a provider's warehouse near my house and I see there are hundreds of delivery person already available. And it is much easier to deliver to places 1.9 kms in 10 mins. And honestly if the deliver will take time then they will already notify you that the delivery will take 15 mins. I feel this have provided employment opportunities to so many people. I am happy to use these apps. Thanks

It's Quite Cost effective too. Just yesterday we order food for 10 ppl from Zomato and it cost around 3000 rs. meanwhile it would'vs costed like 9000 if we went to a restaurant. If it's cost effective then late deliveries are of no concern

Clearly, not a woman, ARE you? Try being born a woman & then you'll know. In Mumbai, I dared to go against my family's wishes (yahan to kuchh nahi hota hai - safest city ever!) & i walked to the main road to 24*7 medical. Enroute a man grabbed my hand. I yelled. Because, it's Mumbai, an aunty was also out at midnight. And he ran away. Women on street give hope to other women. But you've no IDEA how scared I was coming back. Ofcourse, I pretended like nothing happened. As a woman, you've to! Extreme pain. But so many times in need, we beg the medicine guy to deliver but they don't. YES, not just the brutal cramps that are worse than several electric shocks a second, & do come in absolute emergency without warning often, But even when there was a sudden conjunctivitis situation at night! Or better yet, COVID. It's only humane to NOT STEP OUT. Infact, in any infection you MUST stay in to avoid giving other people the disease!! You can suddenly bleed so much, your pad stock can be over. Then what? Shame on you. You disgust me on how UNAWARE you're of the other half of YOUR species' reality and pain. And the benefit of dealing with AI , & not letting anyone know what you bought!! Even in 2022, several women EVEN in Mumbai, take sanitary products in black polythene. The gaze when everyone at the kirana stares at you like you committed a crime. Oh, the male privilege! Have some decency!!

Bruh I can't get wide variety of items from my nearby ration show. The super market is 1 km from my house.

Absolutely agree. There was never a need to deliver groceries within 10 minutes. On the other hand, imagine a scenario where either you or your kid/parent is hit and injured/killed by a speeding Zepto or BlinkIt biker...all because of some imaginary need created by these companies to force riders to deliver groceries within 10 minutes. There is enough lawlessness in India. Traffic police are overworked, underpaid and simply can't be everywhere. It is up to us citizens to think rationally and discourage bad practices for the betterment of our country.

Toh bhai m blinkit m delivery ki job karta hu.. m aj hi resign krta hu kal se tu apni jeb se salary de Dio muje.. Kisko kitni risky job karni h vo unka decision h tumara nhi. And blinkit Wale apne drivers ko nhi bolte ki 10 min k k chakkar m Shahid ho jao and store location k bhot passs hota h mostly.. bhai kitne cases m to main road pe b bike nhi chalani padti

Abhi 10 mins mein jo apps deliver karte hai unka stores har nukar mein hota hai for example mera ghar se 5 mins ka distance mein unka store hai jo 10 min mein delivery deta hai and more over woh bolte hai 10 mins but they never come on time and we don't even complaint about that 😉

The stores are within max 2-3 kms radius hence, they are able to deliver in 10 mins. Never knew the delivery boys are penalized if not able to deliver in the given time. Rather these apps are creating jobs for many people.

Yess its correct inhe promotion ke pese ni milee he i worked at zomato as a delivery boy and that is very easy to deliver a order in 10 mins what the company did is the installed his goodown at every 3kms and we get the parcel when parcel is redy to pick so dilivering an order in 10 mins under 2-3 kms is not a big deal and there is no pressure on us while delivering order if delay happen it will not effect anything

No matter how efficient the process is, I know if I am short of some grocery, I will plan a day ahead. If you are using 10 minute grocery app, that means you can't plan your 1 day in advance.

They just say it's 10 minutes but it takes 20 minutes to be honest..just be polite to them, don't be rude if they're a bit late. I work from home in rotational shifts so I've seen in moments or urgency these apps are really helpful..

Local shop par line लगाओ फिर expire maal bhi भिड़ा देते हैं और सबसे main point , MRP rate par hi dete hn जबकि online same product half price pe mil जाता है
