I got the "I gotta get this quota" guy. I scored fairly high on the asvab, 115+ on each line. Tell them I wanted 19d with option 4 (say what you will). "Oh, that contract isn't available, have you looked into the 35 series?" "Yeah sure, I'll look into em" "Ok cool" few days pass by and I tell em I'll hold out until 19d is available.. 4 days pass and I get called up by ssgt saying it's now magically available. Good times.

My recruiter is a 'I hate my life guy', but I love the man. He doesn't truly hate his life. He hates being a recruiter. The man talks shit about his sergeant all the time. Purposefully doesn't make quota cause he wants people to join for what they wanna join for. Talks through everything. Gives genuine show and tell about what different jobs are gonna be like. He's a great recruiter, and has honestly said certain things that if I wasn't so confident in my choice would have jeopardized my enlistment. Godspeed sergeant.

Mine was the tactless guy mixed with the gossiper but all of these types were at the station😂

I'm only 30, but Vietnam was the most intense war I've ever been to. Crying on the toilet here!! Hahahahha. They should run your videos to recruit people. Hahahaha!

I have the "I hate my life" recruiter right now 😂 he wants to get his bonus off of me because his contract as a recruiter ends in a year but I told him I wasn't joining until I got out of Welding School and he got pretty pissed off about it

Every recruiter I've ever met was " The liar, The I hate my life and the Blue Falcon" all rolled into one. But they were fucking hysterical and they got my ass good in BCT.

I got a bullshitter. I got a 90 on my ASVAB with a 120 GT score. Guess what MOS I got talked into with no sighing bonus(which I didn't know was a thing at the time). 11B

I was discharged and not even thirty days later I had a recruiter calling me about coming back. "Ummm.....that would be a hell-to-the-no there Sar'ent."

Recruiter: I know I am only thirty but I have been to Vietnam. Vietnam vet: Then you went as a damn tourist.

Glad my recruiter was actually awesome and I kept my wits about myself when I was in the office because I landed a 15W as my MOS in the Army. Hell yeah!

I think I had one of each type of recruiter at my station at one point or another... my station commander proudly wore the “liar” cap. The stories he would tell applicants made them think he was Rambo.... naaa sarge, that was my black time, still classified. It was a great day for the army when he retired.

I laughed pretty hard with the "Old School" One, It was like being back at home.

I got finessed out of a signing bonus with a 96 ASVAB,because they told me my rate didn't have one because they ranked up quick so it would work out for me in the long run LOL. AND soon as I get out of boot I get finessed out of my rate as an MP for not having a driver's license.... I got changed into an Aviation Electrician with a 0000 code so that means I have no specialist code in a closed rate.... WOW DID I GET SCREWED RIGHT. But at the same time I set in AC and hardly worked and traveled the world as far as the 7th fleet took us. So I got pimped by the best pimp in the world!

My recruiter told me I’m protected by Hippa. That the Military and Government won’t have access to my medical records, because of Hippa. I later found out it was a lie. I ended the process with the Army Recruiter. The government/military does have access to your medical records, once you sign papers with your recruiter and the other one down at meps apparently.

My MOS was 93C. Air Traffic Controller. Control Tower / Radar Operator. Also with guaranteed Air Assault School and First post of choice. I picked Ft. Huachuca, AZ. My recruiter fucking cried when I told him what I got. He said I got everything he ever wanted to do. I told will all it took was the highest ASVAB ever scored in the State of South Carolina. He came to my graduation when I graduated from ATC school in Ft. Rucker, AL. I was the distinguished Honor Graduate of my Class. He hung a picture of my at his recruiting office to use it as a way to motivate people to join up. He told them they could be like me. Yeah!!! When hell freezes over could they be as good as me. 🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😂

Braden Leonard Depends on the times. I enlisted in 2006, we were preparing for the surge next year. You could do that and get your job. Few years back army would barely talk to anyone cause they were downsizing.
