+C4RBON 94 Hey, that's great knowing my R33 inspired you to build more GT-R kits and also add more details into your builds. Thanks for that!

Where do you buy the flock ?
How do you apply the decals?
@KarlScaleModeling
8 жыл бұрын
+Harry Lawrence I'm assuming that you're asking about the carbon fibre decals, right? Well, for parts with a simple, flat surface, I apply them in the same procedure as I would with normal kits decals. For curved or abnormal surfaces, I first make a template with masking tape. Then I cut out the cf decal on the template, apply a layer of decal solution on the part and then put the decal onto the solution. Then I start pressing the decal onto the part, sometimes using a hair dryer to heat the decal as a heated decal takes the shape better. Watch out if you use the hair dryer, some of them can easily produce a big amount of heat and this will melt the plastic.. and you don't want that to happen!!
My god.... I suck

+Robin S (祭) Hehe.. nobody sucks at modelling! Maybe you just need to give your models more time and patience to finish.. that way you can add all those tiny details that make the model car more realistic!

scalecarcollection Yeah I tried to do that in my last build I'm getting better. My problem is just that my hands shake too much for painting certain things by hand. And somehow most of my paintjobs go horriby wrong...
