Got this when it 1st dropped time to rediscover it now

So cool when some musical piece long overlooked and buried is revived in later days. Hopefully Roger is looking down and smiling, knowing his music is ringing through the ears of many today. RIP to someone who died way to young.

I've probably listened to Gilmours' over half a dozen times today. This one? Over a dozen. It really takes me down. Almost hypnotic.

At last the world is awakening to the genius of Mark Tranmer and the late, great Quigley AKA GNAC / The Montgolfier Brothers

I found out today that Gilmour's version was a cover. I love the cover, and I also love the original!

Had to find this original track to see what Romney and David remade. Both are well done. I like both versions.

Thank you David Gilmour for making me discover this song. Romany's version is amazing. But this, this is a masterpiece, lyrics so honest and truthful. Roger's singing really sends shivers thru your body. I truly identify with these lyrics... EDIT: Just found out he passed away... now i'm even more depressed. RIP🙁

Very nice. Not familiar with this material until now. I read that David Gilmour is doing a cover of this song for his new album! Sounds reminiscent of some of Steven Wilson's solo stuff.

I came for the same reason

One of the best bands from the late nineties/early noughts...

David Gilmour covering this is already giving me more hope for the album. His daughter who will be performing on it has a nice voice as evidenced by Yes I Have Ghosts which will be on the CD and surround sound editions of Luck and Strange

No-one else ever sounded like this...

Sound like David could of wrote this but Gilmour made it their own with Romany singing. Great tune.

Came here from Gilmore's channel , cause some geezer said this was better . I'd say both have their place , this guy here isn't a terribly strong singer as I like to be honest but an original has some value by virtue .

With all respect for the original , David's guitar gives a different perspective and depth

Also here because of Gilmour(s) cover. I agree with all comments so far, but in addition the film by Gavin Elder is superb, the B&W, it’s just so excellent. I can’t stop watching it.
