This concludes the portion of the game I pre-recorded in advance. While I do hope to gradually get back ahead of this over time, as well as other stuff, I'm reviewing what I've played up to this point and am preparing to continue shortly. Hope you all have enjoyed the first four parts and are excited to see me try and make some degree of progress in this game.

My only tip is that you don't need the persona equipped just in your queue for it to count - Also don't feel bad about using the assist function for grinding - it will always choose the weakness and will even shift for you if that's the optimal choice

Btw Shark for bosses usually I like to use the debuff abilities like lowering their attack or defense. Makes the more tougher fights a lot more manageable. But man great work with the Preistess boss

Loving this playthrough so far. It’s fun seeing people getting through it for the first time. A few minor gameplay tips: -You can see who the hangout icons on the world map refer to by pressing the info button. -It’s recommended to accept Elizabeth’s request the moment they become available. There’s no downside to accepting them and most can only be completed after accepting them.

OTL is supposed to look like a person hunched over on their hands and knees, another common version is a simple orz

The reason the letters B and J are on the Priestess boss is because those letters are also on the priestess card

I’m not up to date, but there is something I’d like to say with regards to time management. For Tartarus, I would recommend longer sessions that allow you to progress as far as you can in as few nights as possible. That way, most nights in the early parts of the game can be used to raise social stats, with daytime slots almost exclusively being reserved for progressing social links and link episodes.

1:33:29 this scene is actually pretty funny in the Persona 3 Anime Adaptation. In Anime Makoto basically always chooses the "I don’t care" option and is kinda always in the same state as he is in before the awakening, and at that moment Junpei is trying to stop it by himself, and Yuki just stands calmly in the corner, until Yukari "wakes" him up, and he says something like "Oh, you want to stop it?" and immediately steps in to pull the lever sayin’ that he saw how it is done earlier, and Junpei just screams at him that it was in an arcade game. Overall pretty funny adaptation whenever someone interacts with Makoto

You're reaching the point where you can get real mileage out of the debuff spells (or having a designated attacker you keep buffed). Tarunda on the boss would keep her ice storm from doing 50% to everyone.

When social links say they can't rank up, that means you need to boost their points further (that's what the yellow notes are). This can be done by hanging out with them anyway (so they'll be ready to rank up next time), praying at the shrine, or accepting their invitations during the weekend. Bringing a matching arcana persona increases how many points you get for correct responses during each hangout which minimizes how many times the social link gets stuck

We've gotten to the link episodes so I'll explain basically what they're about. So in OG Persona 3, the male party members or male people in the group didn't have social links. At all. But when Persona 3 Portable(the game with the female protagonist) came out, the male party members and important people were given social links. Now ATLUS couldn't just add FemC's social links to Reload because that would require cutting out characters who already had social links in the original or adding in several different social links to an already packed game. So they made a compromise and gave the important male members link episodes. But there is a difference. There's not really a time limit on normal social links. But a link episode does not work the same way. For instance, if someone has a link episode in May and their next episode isn't until July or August, you want to finish the one in May or the July or August one won't pop up. So let's say theoretically Junpei has a link episode in May talking about how much he loves bowling and that he has a bowling ball in his room. And then in August or September he's supposed to have another episode showing you the bowling ball he loves. If you missed the first episode about bowling, you wouldn't be able to see the bowling ball that Junpei loves so much. So you get locked out of the rest of his linked episodes. TLDR: Social links are forever. Link episodes are not. So if someone has a link episode, it's probably best to focus on them right away or you get locked out of content with them for the rest of the game

Yeah, it's generally recommended that you spend your Sunday with Maya since it's the only day she's available whereas the fellow student social links usually have 3 potential days. Sunday hangouts with classmates are for when you know you won't rank up with them on their available days and don't want to waste that afternoon.

The Full Moon Shadow's appearance and behavior are based on Tarot cards from the Major Arcana in the reverse position. The Priestess means someone with knowledge and wisdom, yet the reversed version of it means someone unable to use that knowledge or someone not able to make decisions. Thus instead of confidently standing like the priestess does in the upright position, it instead lays on the ground sloppily. The B and J on her breasts are taken directly from the Tarot card. They represent Boaz and Jachin, two copper pillars, which stood on the porch of Solomon's Temple. The Arcana Priestess takes over the train and attempts to cause a collision with another train. This is based on the conflict of intellect and instinct the card represents, which is shown by the Black and White coloration of the Shadow.

1:10:27 it is actually weak to both wind and electricity; it’s rare, but some enemies do have more than one. Wind and Electricity also counts like a pair, I would say. Like Fire and Ice, Light and Dark. While some of them are still unintuitive, you’ll be able to guess enemies weaknesses faster as you play. The only weird feeling is when you actually learn your personas weaknesses, cause these sometimes change between the Persona games. It’s not Like Jack Frost will suddenly become weak to Ice, but there can be weird moments

Small tip with Social Links: Say what you think they want to hear, not what you think

My biggest tip for this is get used to shifting in combat - it can turn a full fight into a slaughter if you know the weaknesses and can shift to the appropriate member
