The main problem with mode’s keyboards is that you can’t over spec your board otherwise it will have terrible value. Even the base price is not that competitive anymore. But I do value mode’s in-stock strategy and it sells everything you need for a build, which is excellent for new customers to get into this hobby.

Respectfully disagree. You can’t expect a value board with premium materials like a full copper bottom. That’s just a great way to go out of business. Can’t expect value for the high end complements.

beautiful board! Would be curious to hear how it sounds in the aluminum case (looks like that copper bottom rightfully really inflates the price) with a plastic plate (saw they’re offering polypropylene now which is a big win IMO), I feel like CF tends to be pretty harsh and unforgiving, but recognize it’s all preference and can sound great with some builds / mounting styles

Yeah I definitely wanna try a softer plate with top mount! I love CF personally but I can see how some people may not like it! I really love the overall sound we got out of this guy!

@@thecaptainsterlingabsolutely, sounded great in the gasket mount! And despite what I said above, I just soldered a CF half plate build for a gummy o ring 60, and actually really like it, so what do I know about my own preferences even? haha

Between this and the Sonnet and Loop which is your favorite overall? Your videos are great and always super helpful!

The base configuration doesn't cost much more than the Envoy. But I still prefer how the Envoy looks in Polycarbonate compared to this one. I'd definitely want to pick this up with the aluminum case in the future though, nice to have so many customization options

Both feel amazing and are super clacky. I think it totally depends on layout and design preference for you from there!

It’s much cheaper if you get the aluminum bottom. Copper is just more expensive for the amount of copper you’re getting. The pricing of that makes a lot of sense.
