It's all Capitol's fault for not promoting her correctly during Smile. They even said they had a "master plan" for a comeback prior to NRO 💀It definitely could've been a top 10 hit

agreed, if those plans wouldve happened this song couldve gone top 10 or even #1

On 2019 and 2020 that song was played on the radio on mu country a lot, and due the announcement of Smile album i thought it was a lead single and all of the album was like that style, and i bought it on CD and is the song that opens the album. Too bad that wasn't that sucessful, is one of my favorite Katy's songs

that's cool they played it alot where you live it's such a great song, i do think if promote more the song would've gotten bigger but it's understandable since katy was just having fun releasing music and living life finding balance which to me is more important, she deserves to be happy, im just glad it did end up on the smlie album

Without minimal promotion, the song remained stable for weeks in the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100, performing much better than the “Witness” singles that received a lot of investment.
