Slipknot is full of cool, interesting riffs (like the main riff in "Left Behind"), Jim adds a lot of groove into the music like the second verse riff in "All out Life" and they even bust out some crazy solo's when the song has room for it. That's the good thing about Slipknot, they chose when to unleash the guitar solo's instead of forcing them into everything.

But he's a great dude and he shoves every ounce of feeling, heart and emotion he has into the strings when he plays. I've seen him live so many times and every time, every song is different than it was every other time and he has never once seemed to just be going through the motions. He's reinventing the song every time he plays it based upon who he is in that moment. He always sets a positive example. He's a role model I wouldn't mind my kids aspiring to one day be. Love him so much. One of my heroes for sure.

Jim long hair is super cool
Thumbs up if you want a Jim Root solo record!!
It’s good that a fully fledged metal head guitarist uses a fender. U rarely see fender in metal. There needs to be more!!!
You should see his guitar collection. Insane.
1:50 liars funeral from the we are not your kind album
he's that friend that you used to do bong hits with in your younger days and would listen to for hours.
I know nothing about guitars but I still enjoyed watching this
I've watched this video so many times now.

I like how he plays the song Liar’s funeral at the end of the video before anyone knew it would be on the next album.

Yep, and Hetfield is probably growing his hair back too
I heard it quite some time but Jim Root playing really clean "romantic" stuff is always awesome. This guy has just an impressive feeling for natural guitar sound.
One of my favorite guitarist and slipknot member.
Nice Job Fender. Need the MIM version for us poor folks
