The blue is from metal in the wood. I used to log walnut years ago and it was a problem sometimes. One nail will ruin a chain or make you have to sharpen the chain. Even more at the mill.

I'm kind of new to this kind of specialty, so excuse me if some of my questions seem fairly obvious. Do you contact with private individuals to take down trees from their properties? These two trees shown in this video have such beautiful grain it quite simply takes my breath away. Are the blue streaks in the wood from metal? Your continual attendance to your tools shows just how professional you are. What beautiful wood you harvested. It will certainly be made into something quite amazing. Thank you for this great video.

With all of these old trees fallen down or cut down - one needs to plant another 100 trees in the area where the old father or old mother grew up - to keep and restore the landscape to a healthy environmental landscape.

Так оно,но в РФ,этим заниматься не станут,тем более тополя выращивать по новой...
I was a fresh groundman on a climbing crew right out of highschool. I was felling small trees down a fence line. what I didn't know was the fence was moved after this particular tree I was falling had grown around it, they just clipped the fence off and left the tree. years later I come along make a back cut (first mistake) and catch that piece of old fence in the middle of the tree, it shoots my saw back out of the cut and right into my knee at full speed. Good thing I was wearing kevlar chaps as they did their job and wadded up stopping the saw saving my leg in the process. lessons were learned, luckily without a scratch and just some ego bruising.

That looks like a big old Ash . I visited a Saw Mill and they actually would X-ray the logs before the were cut . Now I know why !

Гвозди в стволе могут быть набиты специально от браконьеров, чтоб не пилили деревья.

Бронебойка имеет закаленный сердечник. Как советы 7.62, так и у немцев 7.92. Убивает сразу пилу.

The audio at the beginning would be good for security applications. Not likely to break in somewhere when you hear a large chainsaw and a barking dog.

Are the black stained areas where nails were at? Those slabs are absolutely gorgeous, I sat watching this video dreaming of the tables I could build with them
So the metal detector actually works to detect the nail inside the log? What is the brand of metal detector u use?
With such metal-embedded trunks, it might be wise to rotate it and quarter saw a tree trunk for smaller slabs around the offending metal item - than to chew through it for bigger slabs and a destroyed chainsaw and chain saw blade.

Things ive found and pulled out of oak slabs : Musket balls .50 cal rounds Shrapnel Barbed wire Rebar And once.....an entire unbroken bowsaw balde
An acquaintance of mine had a sawmill. He was cutting a log the day I was there and the blade found a flintlock musket grown into the log. Knockout teeth flew everywhere

Да всё что угодно. За 200-300 лет туда могли понаганять гвоздей,скоб, железнодорожных костылей и т.д. Беларусь также была ареной многочисленных войн.Застрявшие пули и осколки снарядов- обычное дело в стволах старых деревьев, практически повсеместно в нашей стране.

I run a bandsaw mill, and I hit bullets every 20 or so trees, maybe just lead, but it kills the blades every time.

Near where I live, years ago there was a tree with an ornate steel sign on it. I watched the tree gradually grow and completely encapsulate the ornate sign. Now 30 years later the tree is huge and there's no sign of the sign ever being there, but I know it is! It will likely ruin someone's chainsaw or saw mill one day!
I'm truly sorry 😔😐 but every time I see someone cutting down such an awesome gigantic beautiful tree 🌲 it just seems like it actually hurts deep inside🤕🩸!!!!

But my boyfriend and I have been installing hard plastic fence posts on our property and they came highly recommend by all the locals who've been using them since 65 and showed me pictures of the ones from back then and I've seen the recent ones and they look the same except the bleaching from the sun 🌞😎!!! I'm no ingeneer but steal gipsum hardy plank and asphalt roof sounds better than those poor flammable old trees!!!

And you are correct you are no "ingeneer"(engineer?) and cutting down a tree and using it for fencing for many is better than plastic in many cases. It is something they already have and lasts a long time as well as if it needs replaced it has another purpose. It can be used for firewood, put in a pile so animals can use it for a home, will decompose and be good for the environment and help create new life. And your plastic can not do any of that once it's usefulness is over and will contaminate mother earth just like your other suggestions.😞😞

@@BelkoWood Жаль, ну ничего буду ждать другое, мне нравятся все ваши видео. Благодаря вам задумал тоже заготовить дубовых досок для себя и сделать стол например. Дуб который, я присмотрел, правда намного тоньше ваших, но для моей местности и это хорошо. живу в России, Кировской области и дубы дикорастущие(которые сами выросли, а не посадил человек) у нас редкость, да и по сути чуть севернее они уже не растут.

@@andrewQueDeLlee I know Andrew I've cut alot of trees on farms over the years and the worst are lone trees in the middle of grass fields old mesh fencing nails and horse shoes nightmare spend more time sharpening than cutting lol
