The Memphis Mafia - After Elvis

Ойын-сауық

Yes Larry it is still with us all. We all feel the pain in our own way but those of us that never had the one on one with him, if you are a soulful person and a deep person such as yourself, we feel it in our soul too. Not a day goes by that my heart does not hurt for him and for you. I have been learning so much about the man aside from the star and I feel his soul. For all the many stories floating around both good and bad and the ones trying to paint him as a drug addict and his hang ups about sex and such intimacies really do not understand him. His life was sheltered until he was 18 then BAM…he is this mega star over night and really had no one to help him deal with it that was familiar with that life and as far as the birds and bees go, not sure about that either. People need to STOP condemning him for being a human. He gave and gave and gave and was thrust into so much so fast without really growing up like most boys/ men do. His was OJT which had to be confusing and overwhelming for him. Elvis was a very sensual deep feeling man with questions that no one could answer and so he had to learn as he went. No matter what he gave us 110% of himself in spite of the bad words that are said. His love and searching and wonder was sent out through his music if people would truly listen to his heart and not just the beat but the words and the strength of his words and voice. He was Gods gift to us and we were so blest to have him in our lives in any complicity. I also think that the women in his life did not truly give him what he needed because they too were kids too. He was still a kid at heart because he was not allowed to grow up gradually he was thrust into it. He lived hard, played hard, and loved hard, he was just not loved back properly by the girls. They wanted a piece of him for who he was and not for himself the person, the man. They were all overwhelmed by who he was and played his games because he was Elvis the star instead of helping the man inside to grow to his fullness. That is why God took him because he was being used and abused and we were just so blessed to be able to hold on to his music and love because he did give the world the very best he had. He was never able to just be a person and just be, he had to hide and run and try to escape everything all the time. No time to just be or breathe or walk on the beach or down the street. He was blessed and cursed both because the world made him that way he was always running and hiding. Think about it people. He was really lonely and sad. He needed more and now he is with his father in heaven and no more pain. God Bless you Elvis, this lady really understands. I will love you forever.

@@LuanneHarris-rk9ei Thank you. He was to us larger than life and STILL IS, but most do not really understand the soul of the man. His true happiness was singing because that is when he could be real. His fans gave him the confidence that the people in his immediate circle did not. He was still a little boy when he died. He was never able to truly grow up and mature as a normal male child does because of who he had become. That is why all of his female choices were young, inexperienced girls because that is who he was. 42 is still young for a man who never had the true experiences that most do. He was very alone because no one understood or truly felt his soul except for Larry. His guys were just yes men because of the benefits of being so. They however did have a life before Elvis. Elvis did not have a real life before becoming the star ⭐️ he became unfortunately. I get so angry at stuff I read about people saying ugly things about him because of behaviours he was engaged in. He was just exploring his self. We ALL have done things during our growing years and by the time we are in late 30’s to early 40’s have finally settled. If people say not true they are lying to themselves because most people whether married or not do not truly settle into themselves until then. I am 71 and see it with my own girls too and 2 out of 3 are married and settled but my youngest is a mother with 4 kids unmarried now and still trying to find herself and she is 37 so that was Elvis but he couldn’t learn in the true normal way, he did not have the freedom to just be. He couldn’t go to the beach and take a stroll on it and talk to the world or go in a picnic in the park or even just take a walk down the street with his dog. He had a very sheltered life truly. My heart ❤️ hurts still for him. I will always defend him until I die and I really do not have much respect for the girl/ women that were in his life because non of them truly knew the man. Not Pricilla, not Ginger, non of them except for possibly Ann Margaret because she was just like him and they truly loved each other until the end but knew it could not be because of what they were involved in in life. God Bless her too because her heart still hurts today for him and what they had that he did not have with any one else. The other girls were just comfort food not truly life sustaining food. He died a sad lonely man child. God has him now

If Elvis would have decided to be real close friends with Celebreties he would died 10 years earlier. Thats my opinion. He knew whats going on in Hollywood (shallowness) and he decided to trust the guys he was in Highschool with or that he personally chose. Good decision. Afterall, if you look at his whole Life, they had TONS of Fun and Parties and worked hard together, sung Gospels together for hundred of Hours, unlimited beautiful women, experienced things not one of them thought (INCLUDING Elvis) they would ever experience in their Life. Elvis said it himself and the Fans should understand it: Every Dream i ever dreamed has come true a 100 Times.... That says it all. Your are absolutely right. It doesn`t matter what we think. We didnt live with the guys.

@@barbarasmith388Remember Elvis was born in 1935, not long after a big depression when people were still struggling. He grew up in the 40's & 50's. Back then drs weren't schooled in nutrition. 80 years ago, drs weren't focusing much on a patient's diet, lifestyle & exercise. Drs were concerned with diagnosing & treating a patient's diseases & illnesses, not on preventative medicine. The studies of health maintenance and the emphasis on preventative healthcare wasn't studied and promoted back then, as it is today. Poor people did not have great diets. They were lucky to have food, healthy or not. Food like peanut butter & jelly or banana sandwiches were cheap & filling. If you had no home or kitchen to cook meals in, you could make sandwiches. Elvis mentioned many times about friends & family helping his family with food & shelter when they didn't have any. My parents were both born in Mississippi. My mom grew up on a farm. She told me about going through the depression and getting public assistance. The packages of food staples the government gave to families included peanut butter. That is why a lot of people, in that time, made peanut butter sandwiches.

There was only one really who didn’t like Larry because of his Christian beliefs as Elvis deeply had. The Memphis guys were party animals not at all searching for God. Elvis was always searching and crying to God and IF you watched him sing his gospel songs, you would see that he loves the LORD more than anything and that is why he was lonely because no one in his circle except for Larry truly understood. Larry is lying. Elvis was supposed to go on tour on August, 17th, at the next day when he "died". Elvis was well known for taking care very well of his appearance. Do you think he was going to start a tour with 1 inch of gray hair growth?. They are telling people what they want people to believe!.

That’s what l am saying the things he says don’t add up no one else mentioned anything about his hair and if it was 1 inch of regrowth everyone would have noticed it plus he was due to go on tour the day he died l don’t think he would have gone over his door step with his hair like that he always liked to look good

I think that any interview without Larry Gellar is 100 times better than one with him in it. No one liked him and no one says anything positive about him. He lies and was a creep. I'm sure that Vernon definitely wanted out of the embrace if the embrace even happened. 1970s gay man beloved by Vernon is ridiculous.

They don’t know. They are being ugly. Elvis spent a lot of time with Larry because Larry understood him like the others did not. Elvis was very spiritual and so is Larry and the other guys not so much and they were jealous of Larry because of their connection. God bless them both and God forgive those with unkind words and hearts. Thank you for the GIFT of Elvis Presley, Amen.

Larry doesn’t have a jealous bone in his body and never had anything bad to say about any of the guys, even though he knew some of the guys didn’t like his ideas. Only guy he said any negativity about was Parker…. I had a 45 minute conversation with him in Memphis during Elvis week 1998. Never met a guy so calm, spiritual and peaceful than Larry.

All Larry did was screw up Elvis head. Elvis strayed from his Christian roots. He was reading Balavasky on stage! That is Anti-Christian, New Age Pagan garbage, Crowley crap. Elvis died reading about Psychic sex and not what Larry said. Another liar said Elvis was clutching a bible. Elvis did have Masonic symbolism all over him. Sell your soul. I know, something I just don't want to believe but the symbolism is there.

People shouldn't be so fast to judge. Someone said that Larry Gellar was drama. Don't forget near the end that Elvis was closer to Larry than almost anyone because Larry listened with his heart and let Elvis vent. I think that Elvis could be more himself around Larry instead of having to act macho all of the time. Larry knew the spiritual side of Elvis that most of the other guys didn't care about. Many just wanted to be around him for the gifts and all of the women that Elvis attracted.
