I strongly believe in Xavi, it’s still his job to get the mentality back. We have a team full of stars.

Xavi needs time to build the team and recover from the disastrous results from 2017 until today. Last season we won the league, which shows that he's not the "problem". Even against a good Bayern (2022 under Nagelsmann), Xavi managed to be better in the Allianz Arena, but again it was the mental factor, the countless chances we didn't take, that made us lose. In terms of play, we can keep up with or beat any team, whether it's City, Bayern or whoever. Mentality is our limit. If we manage to break these shackles, to cross this boundary, there are no more limits for the team. But that takes time, time we don't have. We have to win today. We could put our traumas and inferiority complex behind us once and for all and enter the round of 16 with confidence. It's up to the team. The rise to greatness and victory can come faster than all our losses. We will never erase the scars, but we can overcome our past and move, becoming something greater, stronger and better.

I think you're right. Ever since Remontada they've lacked the drive to continue in 2nd legs especially with massive leads. From A weak Roma side to a Prime Liverpool which hasn't lost a game all season they could humiliate them but lacked passion to do so and now its a Inferiority Complex rather then the thing that made Barca Invincible and Feared throughout ANY team

Don't worry man , we will be wasting our time. We will not start BACK , and we will find problems to create chances as a 16 yr old is Barca's only playmaker , others just know how to pass among them. It feels like I am playing match in efootball against AI of legend difficulty. The fact that nobody fears us anymore makes this even worse 😢...but FORCA BARCA always.

Valverde was a coward. He would always set up defensively, rely on individual brilliance (mainly from Messi) to get ahead by a goal or two - and then just try to hang on. It never worked - he blew two massive aggregate leads in CL, lost a CdR final to Valencia, and even blew the team's unbeaten run by losing 4-3 to Levante. And Barcelona was never really the same after that; then came a million different problems and controversies off the pitch, the debt situation blowing up with COVID and more mediocre coaches like Setien and Koeman. Xavi initially looked very promising and like a step up from those coaches (anyone would have been) - but now his ceiling is showing because he has zero experience as a coach in the top leagues. He should have at least spent a couple years at Barca B or ideally some midtable team in Europe, coaching in Qatar means nothing.

losing neymar was the biggest hit which lead to a perfect recipe for disaster

I remember that PSG game, which was a great performance. However one cannot forget that they had to play this great because they were miserably beaten in the first leg. The 4:0 was completely deserved and it was apparent how poor the defense was, when threatened. The midfield started lacking the legs to cover all those wholes left by the front three at that point. In quick transitions this team was vulnerable. Sergi Roberto was good with the ball but way to slow to stop quick and skillful wingers in 1 vs 1 situations. Also the team had problems in corners and free kicks. Basically the defense wasn't strong enough to stop physical oponents. Some consequences were made after the season. There were new centerbacks in Umtiti and then later Lenglet. Both however for me never were physically imposing enough and quite small for centerbacks so the defense did not improve. Semedo was bought but proved as not good enough so Roberto was for many years the number one choice as right back. Box to box midfielders were bought (first Paulinho, then Vidal). However both were ageing. Neymar leaving weakened the team considering that Coutinho and Dembele didn't work out (later Griezmann as well). With Iniesta leaving the team was starting to lack the creativity. That meant Barcelona wasn't such a good possession team anymore but the counter attacks were also drying up since they lacked pacey wingers (Dembele was injured all the time). The game against Roma showed a lot of the struggles: When the team had to defend against a physically imposing side they crumbled. Against Liverpool it looked as if a brilliant Messi could save them but in the second leg the defense played like amateurs and finally Bayern exposed all of their flaws in one match (keep in mind Barcelona scored 2 goals here and Messi hit the post once but the defense crumbled badly again)

They believed that they didn't need to be good cuz they tought they could do a comeback like la remontada everytime they lose

Rafael Márquez is the next manager up if Xavi leaves or gets sacked. Directives already announced it
