Just started playing this game and thought I'd give this course a go after watching your video. Started off with a birdie and thought maybe I was gonna show you up! Errr....well I finished +23. Man those greens are brutal!

@@TheApexHound this game was realy close to being great. You need the roar of the crowd for birdies and Eagles or to tie for the lead stuff like that. Or larger crowds when in contention smaller when not. Then maybe you hear roars from other holes. It's getting close maybe one day well get the full package

This game has caught my eye for the last week or so now. I'm looking for a good golf game - I used to love games like this way back when (PS2 era was my last) and this one looks really good. Has seriously impressed me the more I've seen of it.

I think they’ve done an update recently that increases the probability of a fast swing 😂 I never hit it fast like at all until recently and now I can’t stop! 💯

Just trying to help out: Every 3 feet up or down means you have to add 1 yard or take away 1 yard (given the wind is 0) Ex. 155 yard shot that is 15' uphill means it's really playing 160 yards. Also 1 mph wind equals 1 yard. So if the wind is into you 5 mph, the shot is playing 5 yards longer

I mean not necessarily every time. Let’s just take an extreme example. Say there’s a par 3 where there’s just a sheer cliff right in front of the tee box. Say the “as the crow flies” distance to the pin is just 50 yards, or 150 feet. Now say the drop down from your tee shot to the pin is 195 feet or 65 yards. If you took your reasoning of 50 yards distance - 1 yard for every 3 feet of elevation down, that means you’d be saying to play the shot as if it was -15 yards from you. I know it’s an extreme example, but the thing with elevation is that it’s not that simple as the arch and trajectory of the shot isn’t the same. If it’s a higher elevation the ball doesn’t finish as much if it’s arch. If it’s a lower elevation it finishes more of its arch. So at extreme elevation changes it’s not quite as simple as just playing it as if it’s a yard further or shorter every time. Although yes in almost every case it will get you close enough.

You can figure out some base figures for yourself by taking what your average shot distance is with each club’s degree, and assuming there’s no wind, you hit the correct angle most of the time, and the finishing elevation is the same as the starting elevation. Then you can do some math to know that if you hit your 5 iron with a 30 degree loft 200yards carry on average with no wind and same elevation, you know that the section of a circle that the ball takes up in flight is 60 degrees of the circle so the ball actually travels a total of 209 yards in the air due to the arc length. Now say the elevation had a 90 foot drop or 30 yards. But we’re saying we only want to hit it 200 yards level distance, but there’s a 90 foot drop. So, that means we have to hit it lighter. So as you say if we were to play it as if it was 30 yards closer at 170, that changes the arch of the ball, and now if we play the ball as if it’s 170 yards away, the ball will actually travel 246 yards straight distance. If we want to hit 200 yards with a 30 yard drop in elevation, you’d have to play the same club as if you were only trying to hit it about 130 yards. So at that point you’d change your club right? Find something that you typically hit closer to 170 yards maybe? That’s what you’re saying to do. So you take out your 42 degree 8 iron that you hit about 163 because you don’t want to overshoot and your 7 you hit about 175. Ok, so you hit your 8 iron full power thinking it should go about 193 and hopefully get a nice bounce and a roll. Well, if you hit that club, your actual distance is going to be around 254 yards. Obviously this is a very basic calculation as things suck as angle of attack add or subtract from the launch angle, the grooves on the club face give it spin which causes the arch of the ball to change mid air and you have a certain level of control with that as well as the angle of attack. But in a perfect world where none of that matters and it’s just pen and paper that’s how big of a difference it is. I usually tell people play it more on the 1 yard every 2 feet of elevation side and hit it exactly how I normally would to take any of those variables out of the way. If it’s a more drastic elevation change then I’ll be more or less drastic with changing my angle of attack or swing speed but still visualize it as 1 yard shorter or longer for every 2 feet in elevation difference. Seems to average out better in my opinion. But obviously also changed depending on if you need to leave room for a run up or you can hit a high enough club to get it to come straight down and sit

If you want to look at the positive 1.we will have a beautiful fall foliage masters. 2. We will only have to wait 5 months till the next masters after the one in November.

Is this course available for the public to play on without being part of your society? How can I join your club I want to play this competitively

It seemed that all of your misses were to the left especially with a fast swing. When this happens to me, I just error to aim a little more right. If it's straight, still fine. If it goes left like usual... perfect. The 16th & 17th holed shows exactly what I'm talking about. You hit it perfect on 16 and it ends up fine just right of the flag. Had it been a fast swing, you would have been within 5 feet. On 17 approach, you took dead aim with a bunker and short side to the left. You hit a fast swing and put it in the bunker. Had you aimed for the middle of the green, you results were either 20+ feet to the right or about 10 feet from the hole.

I think if you took your time on your putts, got more comfortable with your club distance and lofts you would be a force to be reckoned with on the course👍🏾 well played!

The real way to play TGC 2019 is True Sim with all aids off except putting and approach camera on.

@@kevindeasy421 I pull all the way, then half way, then half of that and remember 1/4 is freaking 40 feet. So for a 10 foot putt pull 1/4 of a 1/4 swing instead of trying to do 1/16 of a swing. Probly doesn't make sense but you just gotta member it takes very little putting stroke. I struggled coming from tiger where you aim and then just hit a full putt.

What difficulty is he playing on

I wanted to play the Augusta par 3 I spent a good half hour searching. I could not find it. Was is Augusta so protective. They should name them all Atlanta National or something so we can find them.

That is one of the things I would change in the next version of the game. Putting in search by developer option in main menu. I know in solo society you can search by developer.
