Yeah I’m more mixed on the movie. Like you said, it’s certainly not awful, there’s moments of fun in here, mainly due to the 3 leads, and there’s some creative pieces of action, but you’re right about it feeling made by committee. It felt like a movie was missing here and when there’s moments of potential character depth/conflict, it quickly resolves in the next scene and it feels rushed. There isn’t a moment to breathe and let the emotion payoff. The scenes where the girls are bouncing off each other and some of the action felt like Nia DaCosta’s voice, every thing else surrounding them felt like the studio came in and messed with it. Sure the ending and mid credit scenes were exciting but I wished the movie leading up to them was better. I’m glad some people liked it, just I wanted more from it.

I feel like the reception might not have been as bad if the strikes weren’t happening even though I think people still would have had the same issues more or less. Hopefully this is the last of the slump that Marvel has been in and Deadpool 3 can be a return to form!

Great review Joe, there’s a part of me i did enjoy but I did feel it could’ve have done some breathing space for certain scenes, but I did find it to be a enjoyable good time despite the runtime of the movie, but the mid credit scene was mind blowing and it does get me excited for the future of the MCU and course Deadpool 3 next year will be something looking forward to! Oh yeah I did have a big smile on my face when Kate Bishop made a quick appearance at the end! 😍 😂 Great review Joe!

Instantly thought of you when Kate Bishop appeared 😉 hopefully this is the last of the slump Marvel has been in if that mid credits scene is any indicator!

The only reason I didn't want to watch your review is I'm getting very tired of the anti Marvels videos in my feed (seriously, how many times has Marvel "died" at this point??? People used to say this about James Bond and we're up to 26 of those). I enjoyed this one. The cast was fun, the comedy was really fun and as I loved Miss Marvel and Wandavision, this was a fun continuation. It's not great but I had the fun time I needed after a rough week. Thanks,Joe!

You’re welcome! Dude, you have no idea how much I’m sick of it too but I try not to show it on here because there’s already enough negativity online. Star Wars got the same question thrown at it and it’s still here and I think Marvel with all the highs and lows it goes through it’ll find a way to get back out on top again. Which is why I’m not writing it off because this happens with every series of stories.

In regards to Brie Larson, I really hope this movie not doing well that they get rid of her, even with the toxicity. Cause she’s a lot better here and I finally became the Carol Danvers I wanted from the start, I just wish they wrote her a good story. We might see her in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars or have her in another team up with another character, they need them to flesh her out and use her more, there’s potential with her.

I'm with ya on the movie. Overall, could use some tweaking in its pacing, and the villain was underwhelming, but for what the movie was, I am happy with it. Ms. Marvel was incredible, and the dynamic between the three leads was my favorite aspect of the movie. The action was creative and cool to see, especially with how the heroes would swap places. And while the relationship could have been better fleshed out in some places, the chemistry between Monica, Carol, and Kamala was great to see! Kamala though made the movie for me. I also like how it was more colorful compared to the last movie, and the humor mostly worked for me. It feels a bit disposable, but it is entertaining and its heart is in the right place. As for the mid-credits scene, I was so happy to see it 😁 I love him and the actor playing him. I really hope he comes back soon.

Figured you’d be excited to see that certain individual during the credits 😉 Yeah, the movie does have its moments, even though it is disposable, and I think that there is something truly great underneath the surface, it just needed some major tweaks. Really hope we get a second season for Miss Marvel!

@@JoeTufanoTheMovieGuy yep 😁 Hope we see more of said character, as well as more of Ms. Marvel. And I'm still interested in where it's going, though the MCU really needs to figure out their crap because of all the drama regarding behind the scenes and other stuff.

I overall enjoyed the movie and found it entertaining but I do feel this could've been an extra 20 minutes longer.

Can I be honest? The Marvels is now my least favorite film in the MCU ever. That musical number and flurkins swallowing SWORD agents to evac them was way to much for me.
