    i actually forget its a song...its like some kind of sounds spawned out of space. I am so glad the mars volta happened. Music is so lovely and without it, life is just awkward silence.... thank you.

    This is the greatest band coming out in the last 10 years. They have such a classic rock flavor in their so 21st century sound.

    Besides the obvious great voice and drumming and bass and guitar playing, I really like Isiah's keyboard parts, they're often in the background, but I think they give it that extra difference.

    its great to see singers improvise too. anthony keidis should have done more improv with the chilis, it makes jams sound like songs and throws another 'voice' in the mix. This is one great jam at teh start of a great track, take the veil is my fave volta song

    This was a showcase at the Electric Ballroom in LA for industry folks in 2004. . . Before any TMV albums or singles.. . . Side note to guitar players, try to complete the roll off harmonics in the solo around the 3min mark. . . That's just. Whew.

    @@yeahmateyeah8649 I was just trying to point out how early this was. It was an extremely limited show (as far as tickets) to my knowledge. I know they recorded before this, but on their own and not for a major label, again as far as I know. . . You notice though I did not exclude an EP. Albums and Singles was a refrence to anything that made them "Popular"
