Honestly i never thought i would say this but seeing mandalorian getting turned into a movie kinda makes much more sense in term of both story ,and marketing. I really hope this ,and dave filoni's upcoming star wars film does really well.

No. Exactly what they're is the way you tell stories best, TV series that lead into a movie for the "Big Bad, Showdown". This way the main characters are all already well developed. The movie is just bigger, longer, more expensive like double triple episode. That's how you do it

I’m curious as to how the mandalorian movie is gonna fit with the Dave Filoni movie

This is great news, especially Jon Fav being the director.

Filoni is the greatest source of Star Wars lore this side of George himself but Favreau approaches the level of Nolan, Coogler, and the Russos for genre film creation. Dave has a ways to go before his instincts for live action result in a certified classic film.

Way better than Lucas did. All Lucas did was create a good base with 4, 5, 6. The prequels were garbage. Just because someone created it doesn't mean their good at continuing it. Star Wars would be complete garbage if it stayed on the path of the prequels

Same here. Season 3 was not very good. But with Faverau directing it I believe it has a chance.

My hopes for the Thrawn movie are getting dangerously high... Here's my wish list so far: 1. Grogu gets his lightsaber 2. Grogu speaks 3. Captain Rex 4. Ghost crew reunites 5. Kanan force ghost/flashback 6. Omega and surviving Bad Batch members 7. Cal and Merrin 8. Return of Eli Vanto and Admiral Ar'alani I'd be happy even if we only get two of these, but there's always hope!

Really great news, just tough to wait a couple years. I knew Jon had already written Mando S4 but they haven't even starting filming that as far as I know. They're doing Andor S2 right? I'm really looking forward to that. I find it more interesting than the Dathmir stuff. I like seeing Hayden though.

Recasting Baylan Skoll might not be a good idea in my opinion. It can go either way with finishing up his story but without the actor

I love the idea of giving one of their shows like Mandalorian a movie like what they do with a lot of anime

I'm voting for (Star Wars: Uprising's) Moff Ubrik Adelhard (and other independent Imperial warlords, along with members of The Remnant Empire), The Prophets Of The Dark Side, The Acolytes Of The Beyond, and Black Sun's Savan, as other threats to the galaxy, 7 years after Return Of The Jedi. I still want to see Kyle Katarn and Dash Rendar return to official SW canon in The Mandoverse. I also want to see an adult Omega finally reconnect with her slightly older Brother, Lord Boba Fett. My vote for the best replacement for the stunning Ray Stevenson, is Vincent Regan. May The Force Be With You, Charlie.

I do not know how they could do it, I am no screenwriter, but I really think that the central character introduced SO BOLDLY in the gaming world (and also in books) that have been written prior, similar to the novelizations, and other forms of storytelling; “Jedi, Fallen Order” and “Jedi survivor” central character Cal Kestis and his lovable, but super practical (in some cases life-saving) DROID ,BD-1 **would be an awesome cameo appearance or even possibly as a fleshed out character that met or teamed up with in relationship to not only the ‘survivors of order 66’, but also to cement his (their) place for some and “introduce / them” to others (who do not know of their existence - and or storyline) into either live action television, or for one of the bigger budget films that you have thankfully described in so much detail 👍

I want more Babylon Skoll.. if they recast I hope the character doesn't lose anything they've built up for him due to the Passing of Ray Stevens. He made that character so badass. R. I. P.

Hey,. @ Emergency Awsome doe that mean we'll get to see Darth Maul with his four robot-spider legs? They hinted at him on the Solo movie but haven't done anything with him sens then. tbh even though it got covered in the clonewars maybe get young ashoka and hayden, to do a limited series in that time period maybe with rosario contemplating the past so people have more context for her, maybe another adventure after the mortis ark, too.

Bring back Deathwatch as the villain with some shadow council

I expect there will be some sort of Jedi/Sith character in the movie (Star Wars! Must have lightsabers!) Beyond that, some sort of crime lord would fit The Mandalorian sub-setting. Setting up Talon Karrde, Mara Jade or the Black Sun organization (since we haven't really seen them since the end of the Solo movie).

So glad they’re doing the Mando movie first now, it was terrifying that they were once planning a sequel sequel movie first (even though I’m excited for that too this will likely be better received).

let's just say now would be a good time to bring in Mara Jade :D

interesting that the Mando/Grogu movie will be before season 4. It reminds me of when the X-Files movie came out while the series was still on. No matter what it will be a longer wait than we really want, should be fun. I don't have as much faith in Filoni as some people have since I couldn't get into the Clone Wars series. I loved the Thrawn books so here's hoping the movie will be just as enjoyable.

They should get Tiny Gilroy to make more stuff.

Mando & Grogu movie bab guys - another member of the Shadow Council? None of them were really sufficiently menacing, but there was clearly rivalry there, with not all being on-board with the Thrawn thing. So could develop something out of that (with perhaps a menacing lieutenant - maybe powered by night sister magic, etc. for doing the scary lightsaber stuff).

I really wanted the THRAWN movie next, as the books are great and adds to the Star Wars cinematic universe

I think they will either bring back Moff Gideon or someone else from the Shadow Council for the main villain.

So does that mean the story of season 4 of The Mandalorian has to change? I’m figuring that they’re gonna use at least part of if not most of what season 4 was gonna be about and make a movie out of that. Also, if that’s the case season 4 will need to be rewritten and pushed way back.

They still have the other admirals from remnant Empire… those would be easy bad guys for them to destroy

lol.. My mind just exploded with so many potential directions of movies and series. I think Series is great because it has so much detail and movies are awesome with the enhancement of big screen special effects. They really need to combine the 2 and have a special multipass discount at theaters and release series in theaters. They probably need to combine or consolidate movie or theater series concept concepts with Thrown and Mando/Grogu/Ashoka/Ezera/Luke Skywalker etc. They can do Flashbacks to include Obi Wan, Anakin, etc. 10 With Pre-Star

I’m guessing they’ll just use parts of the story line from season 4 and rewrite / expand parts of season 4 since they’ll have more time.

I was bit sad that I won’t get the series as it tells the story at different pace but if we get both i am not gonna complain but for the villain moff gidion can be worked into it but I would want someone new cause he keeps loosing kinda so him returning in season 4 would be better and the movie kinda moves forward the story of grogu and some kinda achievement for mando or they could tie up new villain with moff in season 4

Joruus C'baoth ,Mara Jade or a secret jedi sect's Kyle Katarn (Thrawn movie). again Grogu is the franchise going forward and the future of a new jedi order.
