Disney is probably to scared to get into that field, they know they aren't nailing it so it's probably better for them to wait a little longer to actually give us something good. I like to belive this show is their first attempt at something close to Old Republic vibes.

That ship crashing reminds me of a Star Wars book I read called OMEN and I don't know if it's Canon or not but from what I read, a ship a sith craft crashed on a planet. That ship belong to the first sith. The name is OMEN

Intriguing trailer. The issue I have that is hard to believe is, Jedi have the force and a light saber so how would an assassin with knives be a formidable foe? I hope it doesn't get too handwavy cuz so many assassins have been thwarted by being force pushed or sensed before getting jumped. Maybe cuz the light side users aren't expecting sith so when dark side users come in they're caught off guard? I do kind of like it and I want to like it, but I'm just not sure about it. 🤔 Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I think it’s reaaaaallllly important that they stick the landing on this one. If they do this wrong or it’s poorly received, then that will taint most people’s interest in a high/new republic movie series. Super important they get this right.

Some of the cast details are available: Manny Jacinto is Qimir, a former smuggler and trader. Charlie Barnett is Yord, a Jedi Knight and guardian from the Temple. Jodie Turner-Smith is Mother Aniseya, a mysterious cult leader.

The part where she says "No, I am the Acolyte!" And he responds, "Only Sith deal in absolutes, Its Sithin time!" completely blew me away. Truly poetic writing. One of the quotes of cinema history.

This seems like it will be based on young palpatines rise to power. Showing us his whole transition from apprentice to sith lord

I think the Sith Master at this time would be Plagueis' master, Tenebrous (but don't think he's canon). In one of the prequels one of the Jedi in the council scoffs at Qui-Gon confronting a Sith saying, the Sith hasn't been around for 1,000 years. Therefore, anyone who sees or hears about someone with a red lightsaber will have to die, at least for continuity purposes.

Somehow Palpatine was born!

Sorry, but when the kid says “I see fire”, it reminded me of the scene in ‘Cool Running’s’ when he’s giving himself a pep talk.

The fight scenes looking really good. Finally! The Force as it should be.

Hair watch stuff: has anyone else noticed that in 1:10 the Carrie-Anne Moss character has bangs, besides Lee Jung-Jae's having short hair? Futhermore, the kind of clothes they're wearing ressemble Anakin's in Clone Wars, while both characters wear robes more similar to Obi Wan's in the other scenes. So, for me, that particular scene seems to be in the past of the events in the series. Thanks for the video!

If this ends up being more like 50 years before the Phantom Menace I hope they further explain that bit of dialogue from Attack of the Clones I think it was about a Jedi master Cypher Dee-us (sp?) ordering the construction of the clone army. That always felt like a loose thread to me and it seemed like the implication was the clone army order was made decades before in secret and for deceptive purposes.

I haven't heard or read anyone say it yet, but that assassin's armor and hood gives big Darth Revan vibes.

The shadowy figure looks to me like Darth Tenebrus, the height seems to match his species

We need a darth bane trilogy. Maybe even rated R. Rule of 2 would be a movie I’d double pay to watch if done right!

I actually think the younglings shown in the beginning have nothing to do with the main characters (being their younger versions). I think they will just be extras for a scene where Sol will be teaching but then interrupted with news. If we use #hairwatch theory, hair growth usually signifies a passage of time. So the scene we see where he has short hair is really the flash back scene, not the other way around like this video suggests. Also, Carrie Ann Moss’ hairstyle is shorter in that scene as well. As time would go on they would grow their hair. Plus We see both Carrie Ann Moss and Jung-Jae’s characters in more master-like robes when they fight Mae. But I could be wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seeing Trinity's moves sick bro!

I think that its interesting that The Acolyte is more interested in a personal vendetta against the Jedi as opposed to being motivated by overthrowing it. I am not so sure that even though we see many Dark Side practitioners that they are practicing to become apprentice to a real Sith. The Jedi do not come across as treating the Acolyte as part of a much larger plot. Just a Rogue Dark Jedi who has never actually encountered a real Sith. If you have so many Dark Side practitioners vying for a apprenticeship there is no way the Jedi at the peak of their power would not be able to sense it. Darth Plageuis and Darth Sidious were able to rise in power using the Force Cloak and Force Mirage abilities to their peak levels in plain sight. Nobody could keep that big a secret. Unless the Acolytes were used as pawns in the grander plot.

Confirmed by the show runner 100 years before Phantom Menace. I think this is the rise of Plagues master

The Trailer reminded me,of AMC's 'into The Badlands' .👌👍

Also Vader doesn't have to kill a Jedi and take their crystal and bleed because he no longer had one, but because *conviently* (for Palpatine) "killing other Jedi" feeds into the suffering and hate and makes Anakin's tranisition into Vader more complete. And he has no choice, if I remember correctly, because he tells Vader to do this or die right here by battling him!

This is where the fun begins

Darth Tenebrous is supposed to be Darth Plagueis' Master. But she could wind up becoming Tenebrous master, or somewhere in the line of sith before him. It depends on what ends up happening to her character.

There are dark side levels before full Sith Apprentice. Kinda hoping that the Darth Plagueis novel is not retconned too badly. Damask was bred from a specific union of force sensitive parents. I don’t recall this area of dark siders being discussed in much detail, but it could easily relevant. If The Acolyte leads into the Darth Tenebrous era. He had a second apprentice as well - although Plagueis dealt with him easily enough. Feels like the Rule of Two might be “more what you call guidelines” to quote Captain Barbosa. 😂

It's hard to figure out if Plagueis would be alive during this time period, 100 years before Phantom Menace. Munns live to 100+ according to wookiepedia, so he would be a baby or not even born yet. But we know he used his sith power to keep himself alive, ie I don't think he needed to eat. And he was always working on being immortal, so it's possible he was long lived for his species. Say he was 120 when he died, that would make him 20 during the acolyte since he died right before TPM.

Would be Crazy cool if Dafnes Jedi power were adamantly claws! (Crossover...lol)
