Yes, John Williams created an incredible music, almost impossible music, for Star Wars. Rogue One hinted at what Star Wars music without John Williams can sound like, feel like, but it did not stray to far from the original template. With The Mandalorian, for the whole 2 series, Ludwig Goransson truly did the impossible : create a brand new musical signature that is sooo Star Wars, that is so right for the series, and yet that has its own identity and does not just riff of John Williams music.
