Shotaro rushes onto his motorcycle.

I recreated the iconic motorcycle scene from the movie “AKIRA”.
Shotaro Kaneda’s figure was big as a foot. For shooting stop motion, it's easier to handle when the figure is bigger. However, the motorcycle was heavy, so I had a hard time making a wheelie. The headlight is powered by battery, and lights up. What made it complicated was that it automatically turned off in five minutes.
I used not only the table, but also the floor to complete this shoot. I was crouching most of the time, so it was tiring than the other shoots I've taken. I used a supporter for my knees to protect it from getting wounded.

The amount of work you put into these makes me feel tired even though I’m just watching, and the fact that you make so many so frequently! glad it’s something you like to do though, if I wasn’t so lazy I bet it would be fun lol

Man, we would all need to hit him on Patreon to do that. He would need a minimum of 20 million to do it comfortably and not burn out.
最初のジャケットを羽織る動きが自然で素晴らしかったからそこのメイキングも見たかった あのサイズのフィギュアでジャケットの細かい動きを再現するのはかなりの精度の調整がしてありそう

The lighting techniques that you used to capture the sparking effect in-lens _really_ caught me by surprise! It's SO cool getting to see how you used camera perspective to hide having his arm disconnected from the hand on the handlebars. Also - really neat seeing how some of the sounds got captured on this as well. These never fail to impress, so thanks for all the work you put into making them and sharing the extras with us!!!

my brother and I did some stop motion animation when we were kids back in the '70's with my dad's 8mm movie camera..I know how much patience and skill it takes for it to look good. Excellent job! I look forward to other projects you do! Ganbatte :)
