As much as I prefer reading my books on physical paper, I do agree with your decision to go with a digital version only. It's really hard to gauge the interest for such a book, and the risk of having unsold stock probably outweighs the potential to at least break even. But even as a pdf: Thank you for letting us have a look into your journey!

You're absolutely right. I quickly learned from other people that unless a book is guaranteed to sell more than 1000 copies, it's a strain to break even. There's one book on the Talyllyn locos which only had 20 copies printed and subsequently is now worth more than £600 a copy! Atleast this way, waters can be tested safely. But I'm not expecting it to make anyone's 'Best Read' list
Glad that you had such an adventure making SLIPs in the USA 🇺🇸 😊
Excellent video Chris
yea I was in the cab of N&W J 611 as an engineer during their engineer experience days in the summer and it was pretty amazing. It sure was hot, loud, and needed quite a bit of muscle to move those controls but it was well worth it. Glad u got to enjoy riding in the cab of J 611 chris :) Best part was blowing the whistle :D

@@ChristheXelent yea a price of 611 US Dollars its definitely pricey but she treated me well and with 80,000 lbs of tractive effort, a few notches of the regulator and woomph she was moving. I only had to control the whistle, bell, cylinder cocks, regulator and reverser. The 611 crew did the braking. I even had to switch to another track in reverse as the Strasburg tourist train was coming in other than that they take you in and out twice and was a blast of an experience. Prior to this I did a diesel throttle time experience at monticello, illinois and that was good fun too. Now I need to get a crack at an electric :D
No. 25's looking back at you like "What' chu lookin at, pardner? >:/" Also, this will be the first ebook I've purchased in a while. I love your writing in the SLIPs episodes so this should be a treat.

@@ChristheXelent Well thanks for comforting me that time I missed my train at Horsted Keynes. I was that American dork you were so gracious to entertain for a few minutes back in 2015. :P
so you had a go at driving a iron horse
