What, MORE Panniers?
This time, the post-war 9400 Hawksworth Pannier tanks are under the radar. 210 of these were built between 1947-56. But only two survive in preservation.
This is an original documentary produced by me and my friends, starring my creations and myself.

This has to be my favorite pannier for the old lima model of it i've had for years. A truly gorgeous locomotive.

I’m still really grateful that we’ve been given so many free SLiPs this year. They’ve been very entertaining, and I’d love to see more. I’d love a video on Furness Railway No. 20 or the new build Atlantic when it’s finished.

Alright, I'll admit the sound is way better on the re-upload... top work Chris! It amazes me how out of 210 engines only 2 survive... I guess history can be truly cruel in that regard sometimes... Having said that, tho... one has to wonder what history would look like if the Government and BR board of the day weren't so hell-bent on finishing steam by '68 and instead did what many of the government railways in Australia did such as my home state's government line the WAGR which kept steam running in the south west as late as early 1972... Funnily enough, I always thought the 94's were... odd lookers when I first discovered them via Trainz railroad simulator, probably because the models available way back in 2015/16 were a bit overscaled. But now, having watched your SLIPS episode about them (3 times now, I think), they might be growing on me.

Ill admit, the sound levels are a lot better, thank you for taking the effort to rectify it As others say, like an excuse to rewatch a SLIPS I just love that first shot with the 57xx and the 94xx, such a smooth transition, just perfection!

This is a fun episode! The 9400s are some of my favourite locos, they are efficient, powerful, and they add lots variety to the pannier-style locos! They just look so different to the standard pannier!!

I was surprised of the re-upload of this slip of the 9400. I really liked these large Panniers as they’re powerful & impressive including amazing to haul express working.

Might have sorted the audio out, but the video at the start is still interlaced, producing jagged edges and lines on the transitions...

That's been a plan since the early days of SLIPs, yeah. Sadly one of them is still under overhaul and there's no way of telling how long it'll be before she runs again.
