    Yes. He never speaks poorly of others. Pete Townsend and Keith Richards just trash everyone they speak of, mostly. Ask either about any rival such as Page, Clapton, etc and they just bash them. Jimmy always finds something good to say about literally anyone he is asked about. Pete and Keith are both basically glorified rhythm guitarists...neither plays anything terribly difficult. Keith writes brilliant songs, never cared for The Who though. But Page is the full package. Plays rhythm AND lead, and improvises live to push the music to new places. Class act and my fave guitarist along with Gilmour of Pink Floyd

    People need to understand the significance of the 1:08 mark. That is the first time SINCE 1969 that his original Tele has been seen! In 1971, Jimmy's friend painted over his Tele and ruined it and it was assumed he threw the body out, but then to see it in this video, brought a tear to my eye

    Yea. Very interesting. It would appear that sometime between when the guitar was painted and "wrecked" and now it was stripped bare (??). Not much mention of the pickups although they did show what appeared to be something pretty vintage. I also thought that the original neck went to his brown B-Bender telecaster. Did he swap the necks back or at least pull it to measure it up? I would like to see these details brought to light in the near future.

  • @digthemusicman483

    @digthemusicman483

    @@marcusharrigan6879 Yea, he stripped it bare, haha. Also, apparently when the guitar was "ruined," it was ruined specifically because the pickups were painted over, apparently only the neck pickup worked. But he sanded it down this past year and has apparently repainted it and the original neck, which ended up on his B Bender Tele, is seen here in the video. So I'd say his is back together again haha

    It's great when your boss tells you that you did a great job, but its something else entirely when Jimmy Page seeks you out to thank you for all your hard work.

    Nigel Oulton - It's the money that he's thanking you for. Without that he'd have his lawyer sue you for every penny you could possibly make off using his name, and then some for all the pain and suffering you have caused him by not negotiating his percentage of the profits first. And remember that when a boss gives you praise that just means you're underpaid and don't realize it. Even God will tell you that praise doesn't amount to sh*t when you're being nailed to the cross.

    What a wonderful job these guys do. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about guitars, and yet I envy these guys. I imagine a musician. Imagine the value of this guitar. Maybe billions for me...but "histerically value" or "feeling value", well...priceless for me.

    Man do I love Jimmy Page. EVH and later Rhoads were my top guitar heroes (and still are to an extent). Page is Gandalf. The Mighty One. Some of the most iconic riffs in history, yet you could pick out a few on your guitar. His playing was accessible. He is the greatest IMHO. Love you Jimmy Page. Thank you for being a BIG part of my soundtrack. Your playing is lifeblood.

    Beautiful guitars. Works of art, really, as it’s hard to imagine anyone actually playing one of the limited-edition versions. I have one question though: Can someone point out where the dragon is on the ‘dragon’ guitar? It looks like a completely abstract design to me.

    I'd love to know how the guitars will sound. In an interview with Page in the 70's he was asked what guitar he used on the first LZ album to which he said it was the Telecaster. The interviewer said "it sounds like a Les Paul." Page said "that's because of the way it's wired." He didn't elaborate any further on it. Wonder how it was wired to give it such a different sound. According to Page the bridge pickup was ruined after his friend refinished the guitar. So I wonder how are they going to replicate the sound of a pickup that's ruined? Nothing to compare it to. Are those magnets on the back of the pickup plate at 1:14 - 1:17? What's up with that I wonder?
