I can identify with him about someone ruined your favorite guitar intentional or not, many awful experiences dealing with guitar techs but he could have any guitar companies to build him replica of that guitar it has taken him so long to have this done. He seem very frugal and conservative with his guitar collection not a big collector like other big name guitar players.

In a mid nineties interview Page said that it wasn't just the refinishing of the guitar that ticked him off but the fact that the guy who did it didn't take the guitar apart beforehand, which screwed up the pickups and pots, rendering the guitar useless. Jimmy is such a low-key personality, yet on stage his dynamics are the polar opposite - the quiet refined demeanor transforms(ed) into the dynamo that is Led Zeppelin. They are incompetent and as far as I am concerned most of them have no idea who he is mere less any significance concerning him on any level. To say I am furious doesn't come close. He hasn't even recorded any music in the past couple of decades. Most of his work outside of Zeppelin was never really supported by fans, critics, or the public in terms of sales. It is so profoundly tragic it is unspeakable.

@T J Did you click on this video just to comment about Lori Maddox? FFS! In interviews Lori claims it was a wonderful relationship and that she wouldn’t change a thing. Girls were getting married at 17 and 18 ALOT at that time in history. No, I never had a 15 year old girlfriend when I was 25,26,27. But she wasn’t kidnapped. Her parents knew where she was. I dare say if you met her at that time you would not have been able to say, without her telling you, how old she was. She looks 18-20 years old from the pictures I’ve seen. My points are these: There are many super rich Hollywood/business men who date /marry really young girls even today. If you would’ve been the guitarist for one of the biggest bands in the world in the early 70’s I don’t think you could say with certainty that you would have turned her down. She was gorgeous. On the royalties claim, I’d like to see some links to your info on that. I know LZ has been sued many times but I’m not sure they were found negligent in any of those cases. And just curious, do you chase Roman Polanski videos and talk shit in the comments section of those? He drugged and then had sex with a 13 year old girl. Papa John Philips fucked his own daughter for Christ’s sake. Go virtue signal somewhere else. The shit is really old...

Jimmy Page is a modern day Mozart. His musical talent is so extreme that those of us without that talent can't comprehend how it is be to be him. It's alien. He's so modest and unassuming because his abilities and approach to music are just normal to him. It doesn't feel special to him, but it sure is special to us. He's not unique. People with extreme talent show up from time to time. But it is always a great privilege to listen to and experience someone like him. I've been a musician for almost 60 years and I'm an engineer. I've had the privilege to experience some extreme talents in different fields ranging from music, to mathematics, chemistry, and nuclear engineering, and it's fascinating. One thing I've noticed that's common but not universal with such people is they have a hard time putting their thoughts and feelings into words. Words can be limiting when your abilities are that far out. Jimmy Page often struggles with this, and you can see it in this video and many others of him. Imagine Mozart trying to explain how he could sit down and write out a symphony, straight off, as fast as a human can physically write music on paper. It can't be done. It can't be explained. It can't even be imagined by an ordinary person -- even one skilled in the art of music.

Yes, it is that magical telecaster of what is truly a magical journey in itself - some of the finest writing and recording were done on that telecaster.... I distinctly remember reading one of very many Jimmy Page interviews in Rolling Stone magazine and he was asked about the incredible journey of his creation of Led Zeppelin and he stated clearly with a distinct smile that the journey of Led Zeppelin was one that he had spearheaded and was so magical that he felt sorry for anyone that missed it - and it was said with such humility and humbleness that the entire journey Jimmy Page took us on for so long was one of sincerity, truth, warmth and pure wonder that there will never be another quite like it... Such fantastic musical creations that I, too, feel sorry for anyone that missed it... Thank you Mr. Page, thank you so very much...

I think we should all take a second and really cherish this guy, along with all the others that cut a path for all guitar players after them. With the passing of Eddie Van Halen, it should give us all a renewed effort to articulate how much Jimmy page, Jeff Beck, and a few others that are still with us, mean to not just playing guitar but the making of music in general. Guys like Jimmy changed the sound and the way we interpret electric guitar, just like Eddie did 10 years later. Jimmy seems to be a genuinely appreciative dude, to the music and the tools it took to make it. Thanks Jimmy.
