amazing little lines thrown in there. As a bass player sometimes its hard to think when the song calls for you to shine through and really put something in there and other times when you just have to fall back and let others do the work. This guy does an amazing job of this and coming up with such a fitting line. Hes great. People like him give me inspiration to carry on

The drummer is definitely making that possible in the first place, and it doesn't hurt that the singer can fucking sing either. We can carry more weight walking hand in hand with other strong people

@@Reyd_01 I first saw them doing a cover of "Have A Cigar" and being a huge Pink Floyd fan I thought it was going to be blasphemous to try to cover, ESPECIALLY with an SG, but this guitar player blew my mind and the whole band has become one of my favorite cover bands!

guitar guy is a monster, bass smooth and cool, keyboard shining, drum really enjoyable,vocal strong. The coolest band that i've found on youtube.

That improvised ending to the song made me so unbelievably happy.

8 minuets and 23 seconds of pure feeling and expression. I'm truly blown away.

This is an unbelievably good cover from a band that is unbelievably good at filling out the musical space around one another. Nobody, not even Clapton, would dare play this with a 4-piece band. That guitarist can SHRED, yes. But in a world of KZread guys who can shred, what makes this feel like a real song is the way that shredding is fully and organically SUPPORTED. A lot of the time when I see covers of these famous "guitar solo" songs, I get the impression of a remote "backup band" just sleepwalking through the chord changes while the goes nuts. That's not what I'm hearing here. I'm hearing a fully connected band that doesn't just vamp away behind the guitarist, but moves with him, BREATHES with him, shapes his dynamics, swells and diminishes in all the right places. THIS is what a live performance should be. It's the kind of music I never hear on the radio anymore: the loudness wars kill the magic dynamics of music like this. But if this band were playing live near me, I'd see them in a heartbeat.

Man, i love everything about this, including the keyboardist's foot in the water, the 2nd version at the end, the lady watering plants like nothing exceptional is happening, just kids playing in the yard, the dog, and the excellent musicianship. Thank you! 😊

No other band can consistently cover songs this well. Always manage to pay tribute to the original artists while making the song their own. Truly an amazing band.

Wow... Amazing. The lead guitar and vocalist are flawless. So are the rest of the band. This is a perfect example of how when you mix the right talent you get the right result. Huge respect for the keyboardist who, I have to add, never get the recognition that they deserved

I don’t think this was stressed enough: THIS IS A 2+ GUITAR SONG. Absolutely killed it.

Actually “Derik and the Dominoes” the band that originally did this song was a one guitarist band, Eric Clapton. But I definitely understand where you are coming from!

I love the comments on TMS songs, because it's always: "Everyone in the band kills it, but damn, like that (insert instrument) is just on another level." Every single member of this band is blowing the mind of someone who loves that respective instrument. Every member of the band is elevating the band according to someone's ears. *Now that is chemistry.* The vocalist is a King. The guitarist is a God. The drummer is a Rock. The bassist is a Riverbed cut in that stone. The keyboard is Fire. While band crushes the song, whole damn music is alive!!!

There was a moment during the guitar solo when the sunlight was shining through that tree in the background and the notes escalated up into a melodious crescendo that I felt that familiar feeling of sublimity which I get when I hear truly beautiful music. Y’all are excellent at what you do.

This cover is actually one of the best covers I’ve ever heard. It doesn’t sound exactly like the original but it’s got the mmmf that feel. Vocals are on point, the guitar flawless, the keyboard is perfect, the bass is groovy, and the drums are out of this world. Hands down the best Layla cover you’ll ever listen to.

Tedeschi Trucks are so good. Derek is one of the best to ever play slide and Susan truly is an angel. Her voice always gives me goosebumps

That song has at least 10 overdubbed guitar parts. Even Jimmy Page can't remember just how many. It would require major re-orchestration for a live band with one guitarist -- as Page himself showed us in their concert performances.

This reminds me of That 70's Show, when the gang is talking to Pastor Dave and they all draw pictures of God, and Kelso and Foreman both draw pictures of Clapton.

THIS is the BEST cover of Layla of all time. Period. Bass, keyboards, drums and vocals are epic but man... these 2 guitar solos are both insanely stellar and absolutely faithful to the spirit of the original Clapton-Duane duo. Max Newan you're my new guitar hero!
